I am (and my colleagues) working close to the Hotel and we must say, since we have to stay here for a very long time the Hotel became like HOME, as specially the Village Pub with the very friendly staff (Assis-Johnny).
The beach is very clean and the Beach Bar is small but nice.
3 Pools, lots of good Restaurantes and Fitness area, the Hotel is for my opinion very good.

In a nut shell. Pure luxury if you want nothing to do. We could not fault the food,service and friendliness of the philipine staff. We had read trip advisor before leaving and realized you must book the free shuttle bus into Dubai as soon as you get there or you may be dissappointed. We booked tues,thurs & sun. The bus takes 1 1/2 hours at least to get into the city. U get dropped off @ 11am and picked up again 3.30pm,. -no good- not enough time unfortunately a taxi costs ?35 each way We went into dubai tue & thurs but could not face another trip on the sunday. RAK is only 20 mins away and about ?5 each way but nothing much there only shopping centre. Very little entertainment @ night just a couple of singers in the bar. By Thursday night my husband was bored and wanted to go home. Friday was the highlight of the week we went on exclusive boat trip booked through our rep. It was a meal while we sailed down the Creek the boat was called Batteuax brilliant. We would go back again as we now know the pit falls but if it was closer to Dubai it would be ideal. By the way there is an off license 20 mins from hotel @ Spinneys supermarket but you have to ask in shop where to buy wine as they keep it hush hush.

This must have been the greatest dissapointment I ever experienced. I am firtunate to enjoy 5-star hotels during my holidays and always try new exciting locations. Ras Al Khaimah has a lot bto offer, but they certainly have to bring hotel standards up.
This hotel is a complete disaster. The service is horrific, to a point that you are almost scared to ask a question, becuase most of the staff are so rude. I went for example to the front desk to ask my friends room number and before I could ask the question, the receptionist, who was only busy with the computer and NOT with another guest, said "you wait"!! How polite is that?
Whenever I order a drink or food, they just drop the cup or plate on your table without sayting enjoy or something.
When I called any departmen t for some service they usually told me to call another department. Why they let me do the work and why don't they transfer for me?
Clearly teh staff is untrained and unskilled.
In a 5-star property this can not happen.
This is by far the worst 5-star I have ever seen with the most unfriendly staff you can imagine. Not only unfriendly, they are rude!I think they should qualify themselves a sa 3-star instead of folling europeans who think they will get to a 5-star hotel. Be honest with yourself. You are just creating disappointment now.
