Excellent hotel in a great location. Ample undergound parking, traditional German breakfast. Rate was reasonable for a four star hotel. Would stay there again.

Stayed for 3 nights in December to go to the Christmas market. Incredibly well located- 1 minute to the spas and 3 minutes to the shops and market. Nice staff, polite and helpful with booking taxis etc. Breakfast was very good indeed and included in most prices. Lots of variety and delicious cheese and bread etc.
Rooms was very large despite us getting a reduced rate and with a nice modern bathroom and sofa area.
However, I found the rooms really stuffy. It was a cold time of year and we wouldn't want the windows open but the double glazing on the doors meant that no air could get into the room and I found I had headaches most mornings.
Also, despite the fact we requested a double room with a double bed we were actually given twin beds pushed together which means that one person always falls down the crack- not great.
Only other problem was that for a 4 star hotel they could have given bigger, fluffier towels. The ones we had were more like hand towel size!
It is a good hotel and if you can get a cheap deal is very good value but it's more of a 3 1/2 star than a 4 and they really need to sort out things like double beds!

Good location in scenic Baden-Baden, but on a busy street and NOT air-conditioned like we thought. In the 2006 heat wave it was excruciating having to have the windows open at night due to the traffic noise. Quirky small buffet breakfast included. No spa, pool or any other amenities. Beautiful bathroom. Parking in the basement.

I chose this hotel for its 4 stars, its location, the impression that it was relatively small and the picture of the lobby. To find that the room was of the standard expected of a 2 - 3 star hotel - clean if a little shabby - was disappointing. It is certainly nothing like what you would expect from the work that has obviously gone into re-decorating the lobby. Even more disappointing was the breakfast. After rave reviews from other travellers it was a let down to find a fairly average breakfast with only a narrow range of fruit, over-processed meats and cheeses and a couple of sub-standard cereals. Again - definitely not meriting 4 stars.
Baden Baden is so small that location matters little: everywhere is a very short walk from the centre
All in all this hotel is over-priced for the surroundings and services it provides and way over-rated for the standard of accommodation and food available. The only saving grace was that the weather was fine and we were able to escape the hotel for the maximum amount of time each day.
