Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel, located in the village of Raito, which is a few km uphill from the ceramics town of Vietri sul Mare. The hotel provide an infrequent shuttle service to Vietri, for a fee.
The views from the hotel were stunning and the hotel cannot be faulted neither for its cleanliness nor the attentiveness of most of its staff, especially staff who worked around the outdoor pool. The pool area itself is fabulous (there is one outdoor pool and a freezing-cold Jacuzzi) and is a great place to relax, being sufficiently high up to normally ensure some kind of breeze!
The standard sea-fronted double room was perhaps a little small, as was the balcony, but had good aircon, bathroom and safe.
The only potential significant drawback to the hotel is its location. If you are planning a stay here to just sunbathe and relax and be pampered (the spa is also worth a visit) then it's great, and highly recommended, with the knowledge though that neither Raito village or Vietri (in comparison with the rest of the Amalfi coast) are particularly attractive places to visit.
If however you are thinking of using the hotel as a base to visit the Amalfi coast (and not Pompeii etc) then perhaps think again, as somewhere more central such as Amalfi, Maiori, Positano etc may be better, and certainly so if relying on public transport and you don't fancy writing blank cheques to taxi drivers! Public transport is not impossible here, just seemed easier in other parts of the Amalfi coast.

My husband and I stayed at the Raito when we booked a last minute trip to the Amalfi Coast. Everything about our trip was wonderful, especially our stay at the Raito. The staff is extremely professional and courteous, always willing to help and go the extra mile. The views are spectacular, as are the grounds. Do not hesitate to book your trip today!

I just returned from a 6 night stay at the Hotel Raito. I was traveling with a group of 28 people. The hotel is lovely, overlooking the sea in Vietri Sul Mare. This is the last town on the Amalfi Coast thus it is close to the Autostrada for visiting Pompei, Naples, Paestum, Salerno, etc. We had a double room with a sea view and a small balcony. The view was beautiful and the room was bright and attractive but quite small. It had nice features like a heated towel rack, hair dryer, mini bar and safe. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent. The hotel lobby had really comfy leather furniture and a very good lobby bar with the same amazing sea view. The breakfast buffet was very nice but boring as it never changed...cheese, meats, fruit salad, breads, yogurt and jams. It was all fresh and excellent just not varied. The dining room is beautiful and we had dinner there two times during our stay. The service was very formal and the food good.
The hotel has 2 free internet computers in the lobby but no coin or credit card telephone in the lobby and no ATM machine. It is very near town with ceramic shops and restaurants nearby via bus or very short taxi ride.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nts. in October, and found it to be a great base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. The hotel has amazing views of the Sea and surrounding coast. There is a nice outdoor pool overlooking the coast as well, although in Oct. it was a little too cool to swim. The lobby area is nice, and includes a small bar and 2 computers to use free of charge. The front desk staff were helpful and spoke English fairly well.
There is a free shuttle into town all day until 6pm.which we utilized a couple of times. Our favorite casual restaurant in Vietri was La Sosta-it was so good we went back twice.Prices are reasonable and food is great.
Our package included the breakfast buffet , which was adequate, but got a little tiring after 7 days as the variety never changed. There was an assortment of pastries, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, cold cereals, scrambled eggs and bacon.
The rooms were nice, as was the bathroom. We had a big balcony which included a lounge, a couple of chairs and a table.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel for our Amalfi Coast trip, and we enjoyed our stay here with our friends from Ct.
