I stayed here with my family in July. We booked a suite with connecting room (3 rooms in fact) which is perfect for a family that needs space. The rooms where clean, the location is quiet but very convenient, and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast is super - though it is automatically added to your bill - even if you didn't have. The pool is good for laps - but looks very dated and not very inviting for kids. All in all, I was very satisfied with my stay and think I got excellent value for my money. I would highly recommend this hotel to business travelers and families with kids that require additional space for a reasonable rate.
Tip - The Berlage Cafe behind the hotel is excelnent for lunch/dinner or a beer. The Museums (Gemeentemuseum/Museon) next door are exellent for adults and kids. There's good shopping 5 minutes away on the Frederick hendrik street.

Stayed here in March 2006 whilst on a business trip in The Hague. The hotel room was very clean and modern. I had lovely views over the park and of The Hague at night.
We ate in the hotel, the food was lovely, but it was so quiet and formal with only a few other guests eating that we felt that we had to whisper instead of talking. Thinking back, it would have been better to eat out and relax a bit more.
The Hague itself is about 40 mins by Amsterdam, but is really easy to get to by train.

stayed in Aug 2007
I stayed two nights having booked and paid for the room in advance through a website
I booked this hotel because it looked like a very nice hotel including all type of facilities and above all because it had its own parking and it was very close to Madurodam and Scheveningen (but you need to use the car or the tram to get to the city centre).
Even though I booked a double room we got twin beds joined together. We were travelling with another couple and our rooms were not on the same floor but looked identical, that is very dated, the bathroom tiles and door looked dirty, the bath tub had a curtain and overall the bathroom looked quite old.
I can not say we had nice views from our windows as we were only on the first and third floor overlooking the main road and the hotel parking.
No tea/coffee making facilities, no minibar (though there was a small fridge in the room), and TV rather small. Though I was not expecting a luxury room as we booked standard rooms I was expecting at least a four star hotel room and to be honest what I saw was more appropiate of a two star hotel instead. The room and hotel in general lacked of character. Having just stayed at another Golden Tulip hotel in Amsterdam I expected the same standard. The only good thing was the breakfast and the cleanliness of the bedroom.
I told the receptionist my opinion on check-out and I must say he was most polite and thanked me for my feedback. I am quite sure he heard the comments before. I would not stay again at this hotel unless I got a good deal for a much superior room.

Molto bello ma troppo caro

Albergo molto confortevole. €10 in taxi per arrivare al centro di Hague. Colazione bella ma troppo cara (€18). Troppo caro anche il parcheggio esterno dell'albergo (€15 al giorno).
