Golden Tulip Yerevan has a history and tradition of many years. It was the first hotel in Yerevan and was built in 1926-28 by famous architect N. Buniatian. The hotel was called originally ''Intourist". "Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan" is situated on Abovian Street, one of the most famous and most important streets of the capital, right on the square which has recently been named after the well-known singer Charles Aznavour.
Many famous cultural and political figures such as writer Arshak Chopanian, Russian poet Osip Mandelshtam, well-known Armenian film director Sergey Parajanov lived in ''Yerevan Hotel''. In 1928-35 famous poet Eghishe Charents chose "Hotel Yerevan" as his residence where he had written his world-known poem ''Girq Tchanaparhi''.
In 2000 ''Yerevan Hotel'' was renovated luxuriously by Italian construction company ''RENCO S.P.A.''
The hotel is still keeping its ''mystery'' and radiating traditions of Armenian and Italian culture. Nowadays ''Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan'' is a favorite place of both natives and incoming guests: businessmen, cultural, political figures and tourists. Lately Presidents of different countries, state and diplomatic delegations as well as the famous representatives of music world Maestro Ricardo Muti,Vladimir Spivakov and Charles Aznavour were guests of the hotel.
Location: Hotel is situated on Abovian street, few hundred metres from the main square, in the very center of the capital.
