I stayed there twice cause I needed a place for one night when i arrived to Tallinn and when I left it. So, it is very well decorated hotel which is 5 minute walk to airport (however I have never heard of any landing or takeoff noise).

Spent one night at the Ulemiste, and it was a very nice hotel.
Staff were polite and friendly... in particular we liked the guy who worked in the hotel bar.
The bar was good - though if you're not a fan of concrete, it perhaps isn't the place for you! Nice comfy seats and a good selection of drinks. Not a lot of "atmosphere"... but then again there were never anybody else there!
Only experienced the restaurant for breakfast - and I must say it was really really nice. I'm assuming it was typical to Estonian cuisine (?), with lots of different types of fish, salads, cheese, and pickled EVERYTHING, amongst other things. Really tasty! The staff kept asking us if we wanted more coffee.
Rooms were probably on the smaller side. But they were really modern, and I loved the big windows that looked out onto the lake. Lots of different TV channels. Bed very comfy.
However, the best thing about the Ulemiste had to be the location! We were able to just stroll down from the airport, terminal which took about 3 mins. About 2 mins walk in the other direction is Shopping Centre Ulemiste and the RIMI hypermarket. Bus stop right in front of the hotel (and the buses ran to clockwork!) So I recommend waiting in the bar until just before the bus, then hopping outside to catch it!
Would definitely visit again.

Spent 4 nights at the Ulemiste & it was fabulous.
Its only a short walk from the airport (5mins) but we never saw or heard a plane the whole time we were there! The rooms are great - and quiet. Floor to ceiling windows.
Breakfast is varied - every day has something different.
Its about a 30min walk to town, or after about 10mins you can jump on a tram (2 or 4) - buy a book of tickets at the supermarket for about 80kr.
If you like beer, try the Beer House - they brew their own & its great - the litre goes well with the snacks of fried cheese & black garlic bread!!
For dinner, try Olde Hansa (fabulous food & beers), Villa Thai (Indian or Thai - both excellent) or Cantina Carramba (the best Mexican I've ever eaten out!)
There were a few riots whilst we were there, but you didnt notice them (just meant you couldn't buy any alcohol in the shops)
All in all, it was a fabulous trip. I would recommend it, and go again (and probably do it exactly the same!)

I stayed at this hotel on 5th Nov-8th Nov 06, The hotel is about a five minute walk from the airport in Tallinn. Do not let this put you off, we did not hear one plane during our stay. Soon as you exit the airport cross the road and past the taxis, turn right, you will find the hotel on your right hand side about 500 metres.
The reception staff are very nice and friendly, rooms are well decorated, large and clean! bathrooms also very nice with luxury shower gel! Our room was overlooking the lake and was a standard room with mini bar. Unfortunatly no tea making facilities but good room service. Rooms cleaned everyday with fresh towels. No noise heard from road, airport or others in the hotel!
Breakfast is plentyful but again very eastern european, they do have hot and cold, toast and cereal and fruit and yes english tea!
There is a bus stop right outside the hotel Bus No 2 takes you straight into the city centre, takes about 5 minutes, ask the hotel for a time table as they are only every 30 mins.
We walked into town everyday a straight road taking about 25 mins, the walk is not the greatest very busy road and lots of pollution. However, once you get into town this will soon be forgotten. Beautiful city centre, all medieval style. Very safe of a night, lots of restuarants to choose from. The Garlic restaurant is a must (book a day in advance) 'Baltasar Restaurant' right in the main square, food and service is excellent (approx £50 for two for two course and wine)
The Fish restaurant 'Mooklla' is also nice not far from the main square (£50 for three course and wine)
The taxi are rather shifty charging anything from 50K to 160K which is £2.50-£8.00, for the same journey from the hotel to town. One tip always ask the price first.
Right next to the hotel there is a massive shopping centre, with a supermarket in. Everything is so cheap you have too have a look. open from 8am to 11pm!
Lovely place, lovely people, top hotel! I have an average of 10 holidays a year and am very fussy where i stay!
