I stayed at this hotel for a week on ahalf board basis. Nice, clean hotel but would say its a top of the range 3 star rather than a 4 star. Food wasn't the best, everything started to taste the same after day 3 and the waiting staff were not friendly and at times even rude. Good value for money but i think in the future i would rather pay a little more and stay at the Iberostar, which is in the same resort but a better location, more pools and has better entertainment.

My husband and I and our 4 year old stayed at this hotel for two weeks in July. I have to say the drinks were expensive and the food in the hotel became boring (with the exception of the deserts) as its a 5 minute walk to go to other restauants, we tended to stay put at the hotel in the evenings. The restaurant was busy and we felt rushed thruout the meals and the restaurant staff werent nice! On the upside the Mini Club staff, Britt, Fanny & Matteo to name but a few were exceptional. They took the kids from 11 to 1, 3 to 5 and again at 9 at night. They did facepainting, drawing, waterpolo, basketball, football, minigolf, swimming, aerobics, disney days, disco dancing and they put on a really good show every night. Parrots, snakes, Flamenco dancers, Limbo dancers, Grease etc. It really made our holiday to have the few hours to ourselves during the day and I would say its a fantastic place to go with kids but hire a car and eat out at night but be back for 9 if youve got kids. Good hotel but not for the food buffs!

just got back from fanabe sur hotel, did a lot of research online, checked out all the reviews before booking, but no one mentioned that the food was poor, and the drinks where expensive. Stayed there for 7 days half board, first couple of days you dont notice the food is that poor until you realise that the same meals are tasteless and same from previous days. myself and a friend wont be stopping at this hotel again, the isla bonita across the road is much nicer, food there is loads better. one morning at the fanabe sur I noticed a cockroach crawling up the table cloth of our table, I freaked out, the staff just ignored us. we didnt sit in the outside part of the resturant again.
the drinks were so expensive too we was told off by staff for taking our own water in the resturant, the water they served was disgusting. drinks for the all inclusive guests where cheaper by half for those of us staying half board.
I also noticed that the maids didnt sweep the floors in your rooms, hair and dust was in the same place from day to day. we also had to ask for the fridge to be opened in our room so we could keep our aftersun in to keep cool, only good point about this hotel was it wasnt over run with english, but we had to chuckle about the sight we had in the mornings, people would stand with towels in hand waiting for the pool to open so they could put ther towels on the beds. hotel looks nice on the outside and inside, but the staff and food are tasteless.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights, on a half board basis between 10th-20th June 2008.
RECEPTION
When we arrived at this hotel I was very happy with the check in, the staff were very helpful and explained everything in english. We hired the safe in our room when we were checking in and it only cost 28 euros for the 10 days, that included a 10 euro deposit which we got back when we checked out.
ROOM
The room was exactly like the pictures we seen when we were booking this holiday, very clean (maids cleaned room everyday), spacious and the beds are huge compared to some of the hotels I have stayed in.
FOOD
We thought the breakfast was great but the dinner buffet was not very varied. Most nights I just had pasta and chips.
If you like alot of fish then you will love the dinner buffet.
POOL AREA
There is a large pool area, always room for everyone but this is where all the children are so can be quite noisy.
I prefered to go to the roof top terrace, there is a seperate area for nudist sunbathing and a large area for non-nudist sunbathing if thats not your thing. There is two roof top pools, not very big but good for when it gets to warm.

4 star hotel with 2 star food
it got better on our 2nd week but there is alot of fish & pork dishes
some of the food wasn't cooked enough especially off the grill
entertainment was ok but catered more for spainish & portugese than the british
staff were pleasant enough
location was ok about 10 mins to the beach
we were all inclusive which i would recommend because the drinks are expensive in the hotel
overall for the mony it wasn't too bad
would go back to fanabe but not this hotel
