4 of us stayed here in oct 07, we stayed all inclusive and paid 520 euro for flights and accomadation for 5 nights ! booked through med hotels who are great never had any problems in 5 years.anyway where to start...read all the reviews we could before going and were a bit worried need not have been.ok the hotel is up a hill and the walk to the resort takes a while but why walk? there is a free bus at the corner of the hotel ! the food was exellent never ate as much in my life! loads of choice and was changed in order of how long it was out for not how much was left. always meat and fish as well as soup, salad, and cold meats cheese etc.free wine with dinner (all inclusive) was exellent red or white, beer at the bar was lovely but watch out for the plastic cups if going out to the pool/sunbeds as they smell a bit funny! no limit on how much you could drink or how many glases you were allowed at one time.the staff were very friendly (even when we got a bit drunk on the first night and tipped the table over) and if you try to speak a few words of spanish and not act like "del boy" then you get treated with more respect .rooms were clean and reasonable for what you pay ours even had a washing machine so the wife went home with a case full of clean clothes. anyway all in all a good hotel with good food and good staff at a good price. if you want to complain then i am sure you can find somthing that will annoy you like "the food was luke warm" do your homework thats how its eaten in spain. or "the sheets wernt changed every day" how often do you change them at home ? even "the staff dident speak english" YOU ARE IN SPAIN! or the old classic "the food was all geared towards the locals not many british dishes" the spanish dont do pie and chips moaner, why dont you try somthing different for a change or else stay at home and rent a sun bed!!!!!!!!! to sum it up we had a great time for very little money 5 days without the kids with all you can eat and as much as you can drink is as close to heaven as i will ever get and it dident break the bank would go back but ryanair are now flying to the south airport from so will have to go there now instead! ps the large bucket of olives at each meal is great they are exellent and the wine and the vodka and the beer and the brandy and the bicardi and the..................................................................oh i heard you can get non alcoholic drinks in the bar ,some said you can even get water!!! anyway book it enjoy it and if you want to complain find someone like yourself and start a club and be happy in yourself.

We have just returned from a10 day AI,and could find very little wrong with this hotel, staff were very friendly, food was good, I loved the fish, and there was a good variety of fresh salad every day
sweets were a little on the boring side (the same every day)
The rooms were spotless & cleaned every day, the bar staff were very efficient as were the dining room staff
Its a 15 minute walk to the beach but their is a shuttle bus,and a taxi only costs ?3.75 we enjoyed the walk though, around 2Km and lots of steps
The hotel is more suited to older people, the swimming pool is too deep for children that cannot swim, although they can play in the jacuzzi.
All in all a great holiday for the price, we would go there again

Hotel:
The hotel was clean and the maid service was excellent, clean towels everyday and room cleaned daily.
Entertainment:
The entertainment was mixed, the singer they had on was very good she sang songs for all nationalites.
The hotel was very boring, we meet some lovely people but there was nothing for kids to do. If you have children it is not a good hotel choice it is ok if you plan to go out every day but we did not have a lot of money with us to go out on trips and thought that there would be a lot more entertainment for children as we planned a New Year holiday to just chill and be in sunshine for 2 weeks.
My son was fortunate to meet a freind for the first week but was soon bored once he had gone home.
The only activity for them was the swimming pool, and pool table (a euro a game).
The hotel itself is located in a very hilly location so for any person who has walking differculties this maybe a problem, however there is a free bus service that takes you into the town and collects you again. from a pick up point.
The taxis cost about 4 euros from town to hotel.
The hotel put on a lovely meal for New Years Eve and we also had fire works so it was a good night.
Food and Drink;
The food was ok, and drink was fine.We had a fire whilst we were at the hotel and had to go to their sister hotel for are meals on a bus that the hotel provided for 2 days. I really enjoyed my meals in the sister hotel as it was a 4 star and they offered more choice in food, although Perla offered choice it was not as varied.
Staff
The hotel staff were helpful, and if you required any information they were always willing to help, most spoke English.
Overall
I would not return to this hotel only because it s too small and did not offer any entertainment or facilites for children and teenages.
But I still enjoyed my stay there and could not find many faults just personal choice really far too quite for me and my family.
Hello to everyone we meet there of which were all lovely people.

Menudo asco!

Stayed in the perla for 7 nights, the hotel is fine and we got a good AI deal.It is about 15mins walk from the centre but its a nice walk, not ideal for people with kids or old people. There is a bus that runs to the centre. The town has plenty orf bars, cafes and shops with plenty to do. The resort is quiet and relaxing same with the hotel. The rooms were basic but very clean. I enjoyed the food but then again im not too fussy. The beaches are not great but there is a purpose build pool area on the beach which is very impressive and well worth a look
