This is a nice, simple hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It is spotlessly clean with a nice pool area and balcony restaurant for lunch. Great cliff/bay views towards Capri.
It's about an hour and a half from Naples Airport and a 20 minute taxi ride to Sorrento (taxi fare approx 50 Euros to Sorrento and 110 Euros to the airport).
I would judge it to be 3* and a little far from Sorrento, but we had a very pleasant and relaxing 5 night stay.

We booked directly with the hotel who allocated us a lovely room with large terrace overlooking the sea and Capri. We were on bed & breakfast, which provided quite a good selection but would have expected fresh juice for a 4* hotel. We also had dinner on a number of occasions, the set menu at 20 euros per person was very good, excellent choices for 3 courses, plus 'help yourself' to salad buffet. The service was generally good, but the restaurant lacked atmosphere in the evening as it was brightly lit and most people ate very early which seemed to be encouraged by the hotel
The facilities at the hotel were very good, apart from the lack of reasonably priced refreshments during the day - the pool restuarant was only open for a couple of hours and was very expensive. As there is nothing within easy walking distance of the hotel we tended to spend most days out and about
Sorrento was very busy, lively & noisy and we were glad that we were staying outside at the Delfino! Massa Lubrense is a small Italian town, not at all touristy, and the marina was very pretty with very affordable restaurants and friendly local people. The walk into the town and the marina took approximately half an hour, but steep steps to the marina may prove difficult for some
The hotel operates a courtsey bus 4 times a day to/from Sorrento which was very useful, but could be more frequent, I'm sure guests wouldn't mind paying a small charge for such a service
Overall, a very good holiday at the hotel, stunning views, good service and good value

Both my wife and myself found the location/professionalism of the staff to be exceptional, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
I would suggest however, that you do not hire a car for the duration of your stay, as we did. It is not a relaxing experience driving a car in that part of the world.
We found the hotel bus into Sorrento to be adequate for our needs.
From Sorrento boats /buses /trains are easily available to local attraction. If you must use a car for the odd day out get the hotel to book it for you.
We look forward to returning.

We have just returned from our fabulous holiday at The Delfino.Hotel has great views and is very clean .The food is good, however would have been nice to have more buffet dinners. The staff are very helpful. The Hotel organizes its own boat trips to Capri,Amalfi and Positano. We would highley recomend them. The hotel puts on some very good low key entertainment. One evening we had a guy called Mario who played the classical guitar he was very good.We met some lovely ladies from gloucester and two ladies from Wales along with an older gentleman from glasgow who all contributed to making our holiday very memorable. We booked the holiday to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we had our youngest son who is twelve with us.If you want a hotel that is clean with good food and spectacular views then book the Hotel Delfino .You will not be disappointed.
