It was the perfect hotel for our holiday.. Myself and 3 others went for a 6day break, we used the train every day to do day trips. E.g. Florence, Lucca, Viaraggio.. The station is a 2min walk away from the hotel. Train’s are great, very easy to understand and very cheap! Every evening we took a taxi to the leaning tower (6euros) to get some food as the best restaurants are around that area, just watch out for the service charge in some restaurants, normally 15%! You can easily get taxi's from just outside the station. Hotel was good, clean and staff were very helpful, quite basic rooms but we weren’t staying in them all day.. Breakfast was fantastic! Something different every morning! So if you’re looking to see lots of Italy I really recommend it!!

Although dubious about this hotel re location, entrance and accomodation we were pleasantly surprised. We (family of five with three older teenagers) choose this hotel for its location as we had an early a.m return flight from Pisa and wished to end out hols for the day in Pisa to take in the sights. We arrived from airport by taxi for 10 euros and took approx 5 minutes. The hotel staff and Giovanni in particular welcomed us and could not be more courteous or friendly. The rooms two next to each other had two double beds in seperate chambers and were clean, spacious with a balcony. The decor possibly dated but not was shoddy. The bar and pleasant with reasonably priced and the barman (apologies for not remembering his name) who makes a mean cocktail - was again friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was adquate and as it started at 7.am and we were there at 7.15 was all ready laid out and nothing to much trouble for the staff. We had booked the free shttle service to the airport from the hotel which was a treat and again a friendly driver. The hotel also offers good reasonably priced bar food in the evenings. We went out for a meal and found a range of restaurants. DO NOT buy a drink from the bar/pavement cafe next to the hotel it cost us 47euros for 4 beers, two cokes, one matinis and an icecream. Like any city is dubious at night around the train station but we didi not feel uncomfortable.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone wishing a short trip to Pisa, commuting as a base for rail network to other areas. It is a minutes walk from the train/bus stations station, handy for the airport.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Florence. It was ideal for a short stay and was very close to the Pisa Centrale train station. The room we stayed in on the first night was great with a large comfortable bed but we had to move to a smaller room on the second night. The hotel is quite basic but clean and the breakfast was good.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff who really went out of their way to help us, they even organized for some of our party to be collected at the airport

As usual, we just walked in, spotting it after leaving the train station. Warm welcome, clean and comfortable room and great original art on every available wall. The breakfasts were more than adequate and the service was willing and pleasant. But if you really want to treat yourself, stay for dinner. Small and intimate with a limited menu and excellent wine list and overseen by one very attentive, hard-working and friendly waiter. We used Pisa as a jumping-off point to Cinque Terre, and commuted there daily before carrying on to Genova. Great value!
A little disappointing after our Lucca and Volterra experiences

It may have been that we had left above average places to stay in Lucca and Volterra but first impressions were not good.
The area surrounding the immediate hotel is not nice, probably par for the course around railway stations.
The Hotel was tired looking and the room was a wee bit depressing and very cramped after what we had been used too.
On the plus side the receptionist was great and very friendly and the breakfast choice was very good.
Luckily we only used it for one night as we had an early morning flight to Edinburgh.
Oh and one more positive the shuttle bus took us to the airport at 8am and the driver and helper would not accept any payment or tip from us, no matter how hard we tried to give it to them.
So we left Pisa on a positive note and a great holiday in Tuscany.
