First of all, too expensive for what you get! The welcome wasn't very nice, we were threated like children, just because we had a little missunderstanding about the parking lot (which was very hard to find anyway...). After we saw our room (80ties style), very small, we really thought about leaving again. The whole hotel is very old style. We made our reservation by phone for two nights, but after one night we left again. During check-out we were told we "missunderstood" the price on the phone and that the acutal price is higher. That was the perfect end of our stay there. Never again! Wasn't there anything good? Yes, at least breakfast was okay.

The hotel was easy to find and although the room was clean I expected a bit more for the price. The room backed onto a loud alleyway but eventually it quieted down. The biggest drawback was that the receptionist did not speak any English or French which made for a very frustrating check in/out process.

Don't stay here!!! One of the male hotel staff let himself into our hotel room 4 times within 2 days - the last time I was naked. When we told the owner and demanded that something be done about it the owner said, "he didn't want people like us staying there." What? People who expect privacy within their own hotel room?! The owners are old and not very bright. The rooms were clean but the furnishings were ancient. Very loud and very hot. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and was very nice. The serving staff was excellent. Overall though, if you can find anywhere else to stay I suggest you not stay here!

Mediados de agosto del 2007. Emplazamiento del hotel estupendo, en la misma plaza mayor o central de Locarno, cercana al Lago Maggiore, aunque está prohibido acceder a la plaza en coche, se puede tan solo para descargar el maletero. Hotel con una decoración muy antigua en general, muy kitsch, con retratos de antaño, figuritas, "pongos" por todas partes, con muy mal gusto en la decoración general, tanto en recepción, habitaciones o comedor, donde se sirve un desayuno con un té y café que deja mucho que desear. Una estética muy antigua en sí en general, hotel que necesitaría una remodelación exhaustiva en cuanto a su decoración. Nosotros sinceramente fuimos porque era muy barato y solo teníamos que pasar una noche, por suerte solo fue una noche. Curioso que el hilo musical del bar-restaurante era una música como celestial, fantasmagórica... Sobre la habitación, pues destacar una cama no muy cómoda, un armario que olía a rancio y una biblia. Un hotel para estar de paso y sabiendo que no vas a estar mucho en sus estancias, sino visitando Locarno y sus alrededores.

Vraiment pas top, la Dependance... Ameublement, déco et literie vieillots et kitsch, manque d'aération, salle de bain (à l'étage) pas vraiment propre et, surtout, hôte de cafards. Suivant l'emplacement de la chambre, peut s'avérer très bruyant. Le buffet petit déjeûner que l'on prend dans le bâtiment principal de l'hôtel (de l'autre côté de la rue) n'a rien d'exceptionnel, manque de fruits frais et le café n'y est pas bon (quelle déception si près de l'Italie !). Le personnel parle généralement allemand mais rarement français.
