Had a lovely relaxing week at the hotel
We had a sea view that was great, the price was very reasonable
I am disabled and found the hotel very suitable.
The staff were very helpful and the breakfast good. We also had a meal in the hotel that was very nice.
It was the first time that we had visited cascais and really enjoyed it - we would definitely go back again.

fantastic location,
Guest name: FFHMGPD, seychelles
booked through booking.com without any problem whatsoever
the hotel staff were very well informed and were multilingual , a definite advantage in portugal
the rooms were ok well kept and had good house keeping service especially from judith , always ready to help.
the hotels location is amazing the balcony room we had did the job, however be sure to carry a lot of anti biting cream, back home now and still nursing a whole body full of insect bites , have a feeling might be sand flies or biting midges.....
another problem was the lack of a business centre, although the hotel is wireless WIFI unless you have a computer there is no other way that you can access the internet unless in the centre of cascais only 4 minutes away however can be very inconvenient...
there is no mini bar in the room.also inconvenient as cascais can be very hot during the summer months
the breakfast was not what i expected from this class of hotel
the scrambled eggs tasted like powdery eggs and the bacon was greasy and often overfried, this was an everyday hot breakfast, however there was a small selection of breads, yoghurt, and cold meat and cheese,if you are a brown bread person forget it...., stayed at the baia for five nights towards the end we were bold enough to ask the waiter for fried eggs.. divine and served beautifully.
overall i would still recomend the baia to my friend but to bear in mind the above, the staff excellent the hotel well kept and of course beautiful location.

Location: The best ive stayed in with stunning views from all parts of the hotel (except the rear)
Rooms: Small but very clean but Oh! the views the views!!!!
Restaurant: Great menu, great food and cheap prices (bit of a hidden
gem) Note: Breakfast could do with more choice..!
The hotel pool is on the roof, its a bit too small but the view and sunbathing area is excellent.
Staff: Superb and eager to please.
Nearby: Many bars and eatries and lots of small shops for browsing.
Golf: At least 8 good courses within 20 mins drive from hotel with Penha Longa being the best and possibly one of the best golf tests in Europe.
Given that a hotel room is mainly for sleeping and showering in and with that thought in mind the Hotel Baia is a superb venue for the money and for your stay in the wonderfull town of Cascais.

The Hotel Baia is in a perfect location in Cascais, in a nice looking building directly facing the sea., and the rates are attractive... which should have been our first WARNING. The common areas are modern, smart and clean. All a deceptive facade of the HORROR that awaits you above.
The hotel needs a gut rehab. Nothing short of that will remove the stink of mold, mildew, rot in the carpets, and microorganisms growing in the abandoned air handling units, ceilings, etc. This is a case of Legionnaires' disease waiting to happen. We inspected other rooms, none different, and after a sleepless night with the windows open, we left and happily paid twice as much elsewhere. Too bad. It could be a great property. If you're in the business, buy it and do what needs to be done. If you're not, stay somewhere else.
