Myself and partner booked the Holiday via Thomas Cook and were really suprised at the hotel for the price we paid.
I can honestly say that having spent a week in Tossa de Mar and having look around the town we did not see a hotel that was as good as the Hotel Delphin. The location is fabulous, right in the heart of the town and also 2 mins walk away from the main Beach.
Our holiday was booked as half board and the food on offer for breakfast and dinner was superb. We also ate out a few nights over the week and i would like to recommend an excellent italian restaurant called Melina (little apple) try the tiramsu it is devine!! It is in the main center up a small side street - go and investigate!
The roof top spa at the hotel is a great sanctuary away from the hussle and bussle of the beaches, and great for a chillout.
Our only niggle was that on our last day we knew we would have to check out by 12noon and were told it was 20 euros to keep the room until 6pm, but because they were fully booked we did not have the option to keep the room. After 12 noon we also were not able to access the roof top spa and were not able to have our 7th dinner at the hotel.
This may be an oversight of the operators as we were told by our rep that we were the first Thomas Cook people to stay in the hotel and should not reflect on the hotel.
The hotel does have secure storage for bags etc which we did make use of and the staff were really helpful and polite.
Overall an excellent holiday and i would definately recommend the Hotel Delfin to anyone wanting to visit Tossa, which is in itself a charming and truly great holiday destination.

We have just returned from a few days break at the Delfin Hotel in Tossa de Mar. The Delfin Hotel was excellent - spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms, very helpful reception and restaurant staff and lovely food. Only 2 drawbacks - firstly, parking was 800m away, but the car was in a locked area with CCTV(9 euros a day) and secondly there was no pool - but then the hotel was in the centre of Tossa de Mar and only a stones throw from the beach.
Tossa de Mar itself is a lovely place to wander around. The castle and lighthouse provide a good daytime or evening stroll - there is a small "train" that will take you to the top for a nominal charge. There you can enjoy a coffee and take in the views. The pedestrian streets of Tossa de Mar are lined with some lovely shops but beware the people on scooters - it may look pedestrianised but this obviously doesn't mean the same over there.
We were quite wary since this was a part of Spain we had not visited before and were worried that Tossa de Mar was like it's neighbour Lorret de Mar but the two couldn't be any more different. I'm sure we would return and if we did we would certainly return to the Delfin.
