We have just returned from Gloria Golf - our 4th visit having been there for the previous three years.
There have been a lot of improvements to the hotel in general such as a lovely new aquapark, refurbishment of all the rooms, Gloria Pub and pool area. However, we have come home bitterly disappointed, and will not be returning. Why? Two reasons.
The food is just TERRIBLE. The standard has steadily decreased over the years but surely now must have hit rock bottom.
The service - staff who couldn't do enough for you before are now overstretched and it shows. If you did get someone giving you the 5 star Gloria service, the next minute they ran up with a Gloria questionnaire asking you to write a nice comment about them!
To top it all, we had a particular safety issue in our room with the air conditioning. Guest relations and reception sent technical services on numerous occasions and kept telling us there was nothing wrong. We kept telling them there was. Eventually at 6am one morning water started streaming through the aircon and the electricity blew. They moved our room but gave us no apology for all the inconvenience and worry of being in a room which we knew had a safety issue which they were refusing to acknowledge.
Played golf a couple of times - golf courses were good for holiday golf and the clubhouse is very nice.
All in all, we won't be going back to Gloria Golf. It is nowhere near the standard that it used to be - what a shame!

This hotel is very big and beautiful but if you dont like walking several times a day few hundred meter up and down for food, for swimming, for beach, for kids club and for everthing else you not going to like this hotel. We have done our walking with two small children in heat of 35degrees for 9 days and I have to say I was more than happy to go home. We was given room we didnt book because hotel is full with Russian guest and we got the feeling that if they want somenting they have to have it so after pay and book for gloria suite we end up getting two stadardt room, end of the hotel next to parking lot with a wiew of parking lot. Do I have to say more. I have to say that I have stayed in many 5 star hotel all over the world but this hotel has nothing to do with 5 star.

My partner and I stayed at the Gloria Golf Resort for a week in June, after being told that our orginal choice of hotel Gloria Verde Resort had been double booked.
We arrived at 5am and was told that we couldn't go to our room until 12noon or possible 2pm as the hotel was fully booked, even though we had requested an early check-in.
The surrounding areas are very nice, plenty of places to eat/have snacks. The Italian was very nice, you have to book to use this and is free for the first visit.
We stayed in a Junior Suite, the room was comfortable a king size bed and sofa bed, plasma tv, mini bar stocked daily (if all inclusive). On our first night we thought that we would have a nice cold bottle of beer only to find out the the bottles that where in the fridge where actually empty as where the 2 bottles of wine. Either the people that stayed in in the room before us drank them and put the lids/bottle tops back on and the mini bar service thought that they where full or the mini bar service just didn't check our fridge before we checked into the room.
The room was tided every day and fresh towels, dissapointed that the floors where never washed inside (could see our foot prints from being outside on the first day on the patio). Also had a couple of cockroaches on the 2nd night.
Being a vegeterian I got a bit bored of the same food all week, but plenty of variety for meat eaters. The best time to eat at the main restaurnat is when it first opens, even though it is very very busy then.
The Loby Bar is open 24 hours and a very nice relaxed place to sit back and enjoy your drinks.
The staff where friendly and polite throughout the hotel.
All in all I wouldn't say that this is a 5 Star resort more like a 4 star.

Better than last year

Hi, just thought I would let you know that this is our second visit to Gloria Golf. We went 9 months ago and we have to say it was better than last time, even though that was briliiant. The hotel had been updated slightly with new features. There is a new waterpark attached to the hotel for children and adults. The restaurants had changed slightly. The staff are still as pleasant and helpful as last year.. We were upgraded to a suite which was very nicely decorated. I cannot fault this hotel. If you want a fantastic hotel, with brilliant staff and a relaxing holiday go to the Gloria Golf in Belek you won't be dissappointed.
Exceptional staff

My wife and I have just returned from the Gloria Golf having spent an exceptional week there.
After a slight problem of over booking on suites which was very amicably sorted out the following day by the agent and a wonderful Reception Manageress all proceeded well. The suite we were allocated had a pool view and was spotless and kept that way by a very efficent cleaner. The restaurants were typical holiday type buffets but with a good variety and well stocked. Staff very quickly remembered your likes and dislikes. The a la carte restaurants with a modern method of booking were all very good, particularly the Turkish one. Also available were visits at nominal costs to sister hotels for dinner in their restaurants giving a seemingly endless choice, a complimentary coach service every hour transfers you and when we just missed the return rather than wait an hour they jumped in a golf buggy and brought us back - what service.
We didn't golf but spoke to some who had and they were complimentary about the courses they played albeit 'it was hot!'
To try and find fault - difficult but maybe a shallower part of the (many) pools for the inexperienced swimmers? That is really having to concentrate and find something to say.
Guest relations were particularly helpful but it is impossible to speak highly enough of the staff overall.
IWe are not ones who return usually to places we have been before preferring to seek new pastures but for this hotel we will make an exception.
