Great location – right in the heart of the city and close to almost everything a tourist must see in Rome (Trevi fountain and Spanish steps – 7 min, Colliseo and Forum – a nice 30 minute walk, Vatican - 4 short stops on the metro (station 200 meters from the hotel), etc.). Also right in the center of great shopping area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Professional service. Large, well maintained, clean appartments. Great for a family stay (we traveled with our 20 year old daughter). Decorated with lots of imagination. Some art may surprise parents with small kids, but if you are in Rome, you see artistic nudity on every corner anyway. A Russian family from Switzerland

Enjoyed Rome immensely. Stayed at the Barberini B&B near Trevi fountain. Loved the apartment and location. The owners were great. Recommend it highly for all visitors.

I am sat in the internet room writing this just before we leave.
The rooms were perfect for any family, very clean and spacious.
The location is what made the stay best of all. It is within walking distance of the Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and the Coliseum. There are many restaurants near by , but just up the hill from the square was Cial Bella, the restaurant from heaven.
I would recommend this hotel/apartments for any young family or mature adults.

I stayed there with my wife and two teenagers. It was fantastic all the way, friendly staff, clean suites, with plenty of room for four of us, walking distance to all attractions, literally one minutes walking to subway and taxi station, and more. Overall it was the best experience I had in Rome. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome.

My husband and I stayed at the Residence Barberini for 5 nights during our holiday to Rome.
Our suite is spacious and adequately appointed; it overlooks the courtyards behind the hotel so our sleep was not disturbed by the noise of the main street. The location is really good and the Barberini train station is only a 3-minute walk away. We found the in-room folder particularly helpful, more specifically the restaurant recommendations, as it lists the culinary highlights of Rome which is incredibly helpful given the bewildering array of Italian restaurants and cafes in the city. We ate at several of the recommended restaurants and were not disappointed at all.
Not so good points:
The air-conditioning is one of the noisiest we experienced. The same can be said of the extractor fan in the bathroom. Housekeeping is clean but, as one of the reviewers had mentioned, our toiletries were not replaced, neither were the dirty linen put in the basket and complimentary tea bags, sugar and coffee in the pantry. Lastly, it took them two days to send an iron and ironing board to the room (they only have one iron in the residence apparently).
All factors weighed up, we had a fuss-free stay and will definitely consider staying there on our return.
