Please, please do not spoil your stay in Paris by staying at this hotel.
Hotel:
We arrived late at night for our romantic break and were met by the “Basil Faulty” of Pairs who was as rude as could be. He basically grunted at us and showed us to a “cupboard” that he called a “room”. It was small, grotty and dirty looking with a broken bath in the painfully small bathroom and stained grubby carpet. We refused to stay in the first room so we were sown an alternative that wasn’t much better but at least had a cleaner looking carpet. We were tired so agreed to revaluate the following day – we are not snobs by any means and are both seasoned travellers but were really shocked at the state of this hotel and just wanted to leave, however we were only in Paris for 4 days and didn’t want to spend the first part of our break looking for a new hotel so agreed to put up with it - I really wish we hadn’t as it really spoiled our holiday. The thought of going back to this hotel at the end of each day was depressing to say the least. We didn’t go near the miserable looking breakfast as we just wanted to get out of the place each morning and ate out at a caf? in town. The room we ended up in was dark, grubby and depressing, the fridge didn’t work and the bathroom had broken tiles and a stained bath. The towels were so grubby looking we “drip dried”!!
Service:
Rude, rude, rude. They didn’t care that we were unhappy, that the room was dirty, the fridge broken or that they were serving mouldy bread at breakfast and we had hammer on the door to wake the manager up each evening to get in which meant we were greeted by more of his “grunts”.
Area:
The hotel is a fair walk from the metro through the food market. This really is not a nice location, yes there is a market in the street during the day but at night the area was deserted and felt quite seedy so we didn’t enjoy wandering round near the hotel that much. No decent bars or restaurants near the hotel meant that if you wanted to pop back to the hotel for a shower before dinner back in town you had to traipse down from the metro station which was off putting.
I realise that this hotel is fairly cheep for Paris but please, if you can afford a bit more then please pay it and stay somewhere else. This hotel is appalling and it spoilt our holiday – whenever we think of Paris we think of this horrid hotel and it spoils our memory of a beautiful city.

Excellent choice for the budget traveller. In a very convenient location, close to the Villiers Metro and rue de Levis' market, this hotel offers big enough rooms and daily towels change. The buffet breakfast is definitely above average and staff is friendly and helpful. On the minus side, our room was too hot and had to keep the window open as there is no heating thermostat.

Stayed here for a rugby weekend with my brother, initally they had allocated us a double room but the lovely lady at reception sorted it out and got us a twin room. Basic Paris hotel, had all the basics but usual small room, paper thin walls. Staff very friendly and helpful. No complaints and would happily stay there again.

We were 2 adults and 2 kids who stayed there for 4 days, we had a nice family room at the back of the hotel were it was very quite and perfect whwn you have kids. Nice breakfast but not enough table ( get up early if you are in a hurry) but everybody is very nice and friendly. The room is old but it is clean.
Just otside the hotel is a wonderful walking street with a lot of small shops and strret restaurants. we had 4 great days there
