Central-ish location with very helpful staff. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. As with all Basel hotels, they provide the mobility ticket to all tourists for free use of the trams and buses.

Im großen und ganzen war der Aufenthalt OK, der Sevice mittelmäßig, die Lage des Hotels sehr günstig, der Preis angemessen. - Trotz kreditkartenabgesicherter Internet-Reservierung umständliches Check-In. - Der Weg von der Rezeption in das Zimmer sehr lang und umständlich. - Parkplätze hinter dem Haus vorhanden, jedoch extrem eng. - Zimmer für die Hotelkategorie angemessen. - Minibar ohne Alkohol, da sich das Hotel auf den Begründer der anti-alkoholischen Blaukreuzler beruft. Das störte eigentlich nicht so sehr, aber das komplett anitalkoholische Hotel strömte doch eine eigentümliche (Klinik-)Stimmung aus

Hotel Rochat is well-located on the edge of the historic center of Basel, within easy walking distance to most sites. The exterior of the building is beautiful ,in a 19th-century style. My room was small and basic but spotless and very quiet. It's pretty inexpensive, so it's a good deal and I'd be happy to stay there again.
