Molto silenzioso, servizio inappuntabile.
Prezzo assolutamente adeguato, sebbene non economico.

Il Ferrara mi è piaciuto, ma.....
Guest name: Anonymous

The Hotel Ferrara is well located, across from the Castello Estense, modern, clean, with good service and a good breakfast. Our room was quiet, though small,as is often the case in Italy. Except for minor glitches, such as one suitcase rack for a double room, and a picture over the bed of questionable taste, the hotel cannot be faulted.
Despite all this, we spent two sleepless nights at the Hotel Ferrara. The weather was already warm in late April, the room was hot and stuffy, with no through ventilation or fan, yet the airconditioning was off and would not be turned on until mid-May. We learned later that the city does not permit any hotel or business to use its airconditioning before mid-May.
We concluded that anyone interested in visiting Ferrara should either go when the weather is cold, providing that the city allows hotels to turn on their heat, or wait until after mid-May when hotels can use their airconditioning and guests may get a decent night's sleep.

Hotel Ferrara has set a new standard of excellence of hotels for me. I stayed there for 2 weeks while preparing for my wedding, along with over 100 family and friends. Signore Pasquale Stomeo, the Director of the hotel, personally took care of all reservations, arranged welome baskets for them and catered to each of their own personal needs. He and his staff were incredibly professional, attentive, thoughtful and extremely pleasant to work with.
The hotel itself is the best place to stay in the Emilia-Romagna area. It's centrally located in Ferrara across from the castle (Ferrara's main center) and offers luxury comfort in a sleek, modern design. It's owned by an architect, so each room offers a unique pleasant, tranquil space to stay, some with views of the castle and skylights. Breakfast is included, which itself is another luxury.
Hotel Ferrara also has an incredible restaurant beneath it called "Big Night", which catered my entire wedding weekend. The food is simply amazing - sophisticated combinations of local flavors prepared with the uptmost attention to detail and the art of presentation. The General Manager's name is Diego - he's truly exceptional in his ability to prepare outstanding dishes paired with just the right wine and manage a staff taking care of hundred's of people with different tastes.
For a New York woman getting married in Italy (and all the stresses that come with preparing a long-distance wedding) to an Italy-born man (who knows the different between good Italian service and food), I can't tell you how much I appreciated Signore Stomeo and Diego.
Whether you're looking for the best place to stay in Ferrara or just a fantastic weekend in Italy, I highly, highly recommend Hotel Ferrara and Big Night restaurant.
