Our family stayed in the quad room on the ground floor. It was cramped and musty with no a/c but the bed was comfortable. Carpet was pretty gross. Bathroom very clean but almost kocked myself out trying to spit out toothpaste into the sink. There were 2 televisions which was surprising. Skipped the breakfast in favor of so many a la carte options on Rue Cler. Location was unbeatable and price was fair for Paris. Preferred Grand Leveque down the street, though. Kids thought this was worst hotel on our 2 week trip.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. We are 26 and 27 years old. We were not looking for anything fancy because we knew we would only be sleeping there. This hotel is located in an alley way in Paris. At first I thought I would be a bit scared to walk there at night, but it was fine. I was also careful and payed attention to my surroundings. The rooms were very small. The bathrooms had just enough room to turn around in. The shower was terribly small, but I think that may be common in Paris. The sheets had some questionable marks on them, but I was too tired to care. The elevator fit one person at a time. It was somewhat hot to sleep at night and noisy from outside in the alley. It was quiet to sleep from about 1-8 in the morning. The walls are thin so you do hear others cough and what not. Breakfast is only included in some rooms. We did not have breakfast because it cost 18 euros extra a day and it looked like hardly anything. Paris is generally very expensive to eat all around. I became irritated with the hotel when they would not let us use the internet in the lobby for a minute with paying five euros for 20 minutes. That is roughly 7 dollars. Also on our last day they forgot our wake up call and lucky for us we woke up and checked the time because we would have missed our flight. None of the rooms have clocks in them so we had to turn on the tv and find a channel that showed the time. For a budget traveler I suppose it is okay, but I would advise to look elsewhere.

An authentic, classic small Paris hotel. Rooms are small but clean and charming. Bathrooms are modern and spotless, shower was not as small as other comments suggest, I wear an XL size and never had the problems that others alluded to. Location was ideal, short walk to the tower and access to everywhere via bus or metro. Do yourself a favour and become familiar with the bus routes, especially # 69. Plenty of excellent places to dine are very close, bakery and conv. stores at the end of the block.
The people are very nice and go out of their way to help visitors. The only rude people that I met the entire trip were North American !! Dust off your high school French and give it a try.

Stayed at this Hotel from April 12th to the 17th. We had a great experience with this Hotel. The location was great. Very near the Eiffel Tower and a Metro stop. Easy access to everything. There was a small grocery store at the end of the quite street, so we could get a few snacks and beers and wine to enjoy in the room after a busy day of touring. Real nice bar - restaurant at the end of the street. Yes the rooms were small but thats not unusual for Paris, but the price was fair. We had a double and a triple room. All in all it was fine. I would stay here again when we come back to Paris.

Hotel Eiffel Rive Gauche was a good value for the money. The wallpaper was worn and the room/ bathroom were small, but the room was clean and it is a good location near the Eiffel Tower. There is no air conditioning but it was cool when we were there and it wasn't an issue. They do have wireless internet which was a major plus. Also Marie at the front desk was very nice and helpful.
