Have just returned from a two day stop in London.
I looked online for a well priced hotel that was near tube station and heathrow.
Shalimar was exactly what i was looking for.
The hotel is very easy to get to,its a three minute walk from Hounslow Central Tube station,
Heathrow was only three stops on the tube and the picadillay line takes you straight to london.
On checking in we were 3 hours early but as a room was ready it was no problem. Room was a good size and clean, all amenities working fine.. No problems.
We had breakfast in the hotel, this again was of a good quality and quantity, no complaints again.
Should you wish to eat out there are many differnt restraunts within walking distance from the Shalimar.
Overall the staff were all very polite and listened to any requests/questions i had.
On my checkout day i had to leave very early, they arranged a wake up call, taxi and even went out of there way to make me breakfast.
I was very happy with my stay, and should i need a stop of in London, i will definatly be using the Shalimar again.

Had booked Shalimar by searching the net and contacting them direct. We were attending the rugby game at Twickenham stadium. The hotel was very a ideal place for us to stay after the game as it was near to the stadium.
On arrival we were swiftly checked in and shown to our rooms, which were adequate and clean. The breakfast was well presented and very nourishing, a good start to the day.
Will stay at Shalimar Hotel again when visiting twicken stadium and highly recommend it to others you are looking to stay in Hounslow.

Our trip to the England Rugby International meant a one night stay in a local hotel to Twickenham. As I new Hounslow reasonably well, thats where I decided to stay. The Shalimar was our choice due to positioning mostly. Reviews on other sites were 7 out of 10.
The room was cold, no central heating working, some type of fluid splattered up the wall, blood stained spare quilt, which was needed along with extra clothing in bed. The window didn't close, blowing a gale into my neck. The time of arrival meant we had to leave within minutes to get to our venue. A late return of midnight meant that very little time was spent in getting settled in and not wanting a fuss. I wish I had.The morning breakfast was a waste of space. I could go on. Stale bread, poor quality dining area, where my table cloth kept blowing over my food due to gusts of wind passing from the kitche.Other that the hotel just about getting a 1 out of 10 in my view, the rest of the weekend was great, despite being beat by the Welsh in the rugby. The room was not good value even though it was only 50 pounds for a double. Sorry Shalimar, I will never return.
