This is a very special little hotel - so charming and restful - sparkling clean - the staff could not have been more delightful and accomidating!!! - the food was magnificent!!! we actually applauded our liguine served in a 1/2 lobester - the nearby beaches are clean and beautiful - you can even arrange for a boat ride - the several nearby villages were charming and so fun to explore with good food and bars and night life - the shops were varied and unique and good quality - everything a get away vacation should be - fly into Catania Airport and let the hotel arrange a shuttle and you are golden - Hotel Angela will take care of EVERYTHING else you could possibly wish for - Enjoy

We stayed at Villa Angela for a fornight in June for the fifth year in succession and it just gets better and better. The accomodation is fabulous, but the best thing about Villa Angela is the atmosphere. Staff are friendly and acommodating and the whole hotel is suffused with a gentle calm that rapidly gets into your system and washes away stress and work pressure. Taormina is a fabulous and stylish destination, but we would not have visited so regularly without Villa Angela as a base. The views of Etna are magnificent and the hotel looks down over the southern part of Taormina, with views stretching from Castelmola to Giardini Naxos and beyond into the mediterranean. I cannot recommend Villa Angela strongly enough. There was a time when I could not imagine returning to the same holiday destination more than once, but Villa Angela has captivated us and we have already made our reservation for next year.

I stayed at Villa Angela with a friend for ten blissful days. There is this general view that people are more likely to tell their friends if they encounter bad service than if they encounter good service; this is true, however, Villa Angela provided such impeccable service, I felt utterly compelled not only to tell all my friends but to actually broadcast it to anyone who is fortunate enough to be contemplating visiting! The hotel is clean and cool, elegant and peaceful, and all this against the unbelievebly spectacular back drop that is the ocean lapping at the foot of Mount Etna! Magical...and blue skies every day (got a gorgeous tan!) And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we met the staff. The service at the hotel was amazing. The staff were so friendly and attentive, it felt as though we were the only guests staying there even though the hotel was fully booked! Villa Angela did not have an official restaurant so we were forced to go into town and explore every night (which turned out to be a great thing as we discovered some really charming placed to eat and some fantastically chic bars) plus, the hotel provides a shuttle bus every hour to take you down to the town (5 mins) and it's free! Having said that, Villa Angela provided a fantastic breakfast and a really lovely terrace/poolside lunch. The chef was a really lovely ethusiastic man who would come out and chat with the guests talking about food and getting to know thier favourites. The food was fresh and simple: beautiful swordfish and perfectly aldente pasta with fresh sauces. The whole thing had a really rustic, thrown together and ultimately delicious feel. (plus the chef even made me my own special curry!!) Visiting Villa Angela was a really fantastic and relaxing experience. I am going back as soon as I can! The town of Taormina is simply magical and staying at Villa Angela made us feel totally at home and looked after in the stylish surroundings there as opposed to gawping tourists. Thanks guys, we had the best time and miss it there!!
