Paradise Beach Samui

The most beautiful tropical gardens and perfect setting if you would like to get away from the main beach and shopping strip in Chaweng. The grounds and pools are extremely well kept which make this resort the perfect setting to unwind. The hotel staff were more than helpful with our requests and treated us to a cool welcome drink, wet towel and a gift of toiletry creams upon our arrival. On the downside, I found our hotel room was quite outdated. The room was dark with thick brown curtains. Even when opened there was not sufficient light. The remote on the television didn't work so we had to keep getting up to flick the channels. Our mattress was very uncomfortable to the point where we could easily feel the springs. I was also disappointed to learn that the shuttle bus to Chaweng was every two hours rather than every hour as listed on their website. Two hours isn't long enough but we found that four hours in the extreme heat was far too long to shop. It was also very inconvenient in the evening as many of the guests wanted to get on the 7pm shuttle bus to Chaweng for dinner but the shuttle only holds 12 people. It also would have been nice if they had have given us two keys for our room!

A lovely relaxing place to stay. The food was delicious with buffets and fish barbecues and the waiting staff were friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus was never full and went to 3 places. The gardens were beautiful and the pools and beach were never busy We had a massage twice which was really reasonable.

We stayed in one of the bugalows at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. The staff were delightful and helpful, the rooms pools etc were impeccably clean. The hotel is situated on one of the less developed beaches but all that means is that you have to share it with less people. There are a number of bars and restaurants serving excellent reasonably priced food. The hotel restaurant itself is excellent but we prefer smaller more local eateries. The hotel is 4 star and lives up to its classification. Couldn't fault it.

This Hotel is ideal if you want a quiet relaxing holiday in superb surroundings. We were fully inclusive and found the buffet food excellent with a wide choice covering both local and European dishes. The service was superb, even to the point of carrying the buffet food to our table. The grounds are spectacular, an army of gardeners maintain an incredible range of exotic and colourful plants in what was virtually a jungle setting with winding paths. The beach was beautiful and there were plenty of loungers situated just above the beach and around the pools. Our Standard Room was large and spotless. Where else would you get orchid flowers placed on the sheets every day. We found the Catamaran sea trip to Koh Tao and Kou Nangyuan gave the best snorkelling (but it's a long sea trip and can be rough). We were with SAGA but only a limited number of rooms are allocated to SAGA so there was a good mix of ages and nationalities. However if you want the rave scene then you will have to use the courtesy bus. Overall one of our best holidays ever.
