.....a place to bed down! Clean Spacious and friendly Staff. A no frills Hotel in a fantastic Location. 5 mins from either wenceslas square or old town square with a little further for Charles Bridge. Recomend a pizza from Pizza Nuova restaurant just across the road friendly staff and a perfect atmosphere. Whilst a few good beers to be had @ the Tropicana Bar associated with the hotel again no frills but cheap and Friendly staff. we personally would recommend arranging transfers from the airport online with www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk very professional, quick and worth the money. Greeted by a friendly driver, on return driver came into reception to collect.
Would reccomend this hotel for stag, hens or youngsters not for a romantic break or the older element. Was a noisey hotel but then we had a load of schools staying @ the same time from italy & germany can only be expected then.

What a let down this was.8 of us booked a weekend in this hotel.I know the lift only went to the fourth floor which was ok but the rooms we were given which were on the fifth floor were tiny. The breakfast wasn't up to much especially the coffee I don't know where they got this from.Next we come to the "Tropical Bar" all this is a tiny basement bar with a straw roof over it. As for the casino all this is is a row of about 10 slot machines at the back wall of the pub.If all you want is a bed it would be ok but you would probably get better in a hostel for less money.

Great Location just 3-4 mins form Wenceslas Square, and the road outside leads all the way to PRG airport too.
Don't expect too much and you will NOT be disappointed!
The airfare with Easyjet was just ?40 each return from London, excellent value, but booked with a Hotel at www.easyjetholidays.com it was just ?91 per person for the flights and 3 nights in this Hotel, amazing!!!!!
The location really is awesome, there are a 2 shopping centers with loads of shops right opposite and adjacent to the Hotel, and the Italian restaurant across the road (on the 1st floor) called Ambiente is the best Italian I've had! excellent value for money and a great atmosphere (go there about 8-9pm) GO THERE! awesome menu and drinks, with wine etc was about ?25 each for 3 courses!
The Hotel room was quite small due to the twin beds, but fine as it was just somewhere to sleep as we were out and about all day and most nights, the bathroom has a great power shower but no baths, and the beds are actually v.comfy! TV worked, but agree breakfast isn't amazing (they love sausages with everything!) but the omelettes and toast, cereal etc were fine, and there was hot and cold drinks too. Not much in the way of facilites, but again, a great base!!
Room was clean and had wardrobes etc, so really nothing to complain about and I would stay here again without hesitation, even though I sometimes go 4/5 star, it wouldnt justify the price as Prague has so much to offer you would be stupid to waste money on a 5 star hotel when the city has soo much to see (we were there for 3 nights and still didn't do everything!)
Also, the Hilton hotel is round the corner and Gordon Ramsey has just opened a restaurant there, called The Maze, all I can say is GO GO GO!!! Amazing value for money and what an end to the Holiday! (read my seperate review on that!)
thing to do .......
Get the train from most main stations to Kutna Hora to see the bone church, creepy but a must do that many toursist miss, and only about 45 mins on the train and easy to find!!
Go to Prague castle but dont ay to go in every building as there;s too many, just walk around it for free! Great photo ops!
Go to the torture museum and sex museum both near charles bridge, good fun and cheap!
do a river cruise, about ?8 each, great views and a nice experience.
go to both restaurants I mentioned above, I'm not a major food buff, but WOW!.
Avoid any "locals" who ask you where you got your jeans, is that an armani coat etc, as they will put their hands on it as if taking a look while one tries to get your wallet. To be fair, this happened only once in a quiet side-street behind wenceslas square, and they didn't get mine! There are police EVERYWHERE in the city centre, and even after that, never felt unsafe and had no more trouble!
Go to Frinds bar, on Bartelometsky, SW of wenceslas square, if you sing karaoke you get loads of free drinks, it cheap, adn great atmospher of mixed tourists/czechs, and gay/straight.
Have fun and go asap. For a cheap breakway, go to this Hotel, would stay again with no hesitation!

we spent 5 nights in this hotel, last january, with my husband and a couple of friends. The good things about the hotel are: the cleanliness of the rooms, the bathroom in very good conditions (although small), the central position of the hotel, the breakfast (but coffe and jam weren't too good), the italian restaurant just opposite the hotel (I'm italian and, believe me, you eat like in Italy, there! Cheap and very good!).
The things I did not like are: the heathing and the hot water, which were out of order one evening (but the hotel staff repaired it in less then two hours); the beds, which were very unconfortable; the staff, who was a little bit unfriendly.
However, for the price we paid (we bought this hotel in a travel agency together with the flight), I think this is not a bad hotel to stay.
