I've been to Europe 4 times for a total of about 3 months, and this is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. While there, my MP3 player was stolen from my room, and each individual I told about it was less helpful than the next. Finally I spoke to the manager who said he was sorry, that he would question his maids, and to call back in a couple days. I called 7 times over 2 weeks, while each time the receptionist said the manager was not there, or wouldn't be back for a few days. The security is horrible, there are several different receptionists who hold your key during the day, and there is no one at the desk at night. Aside from that, the rooms are tiny and run down, and the bathroom is so small your knees hit the tub when you're on the toilet. But the unbelievably bad service from the personnel makes this hotel a must avoid.

This hotel looked reasonably nice from the website. The lobby and the location are admittedly nice as well. However, the staff really don't care about any concern you bring to their attention. They will act polite but if anything important comes up like questions about security or more pillows, they brush you off. Security is also terrible...they have at least 4 different guys working the desk, making it hard for them to remember you. You give them the key when you leave, and when you return, you can walk in there and ask for the room key to any room, and they will give it to you. I actually tested their system by asking for the key to a different room, walked halfway up the stairs and came back and corrected myself and asked for the right one. If you care about decent service, cleanliness, nice rooms, or security, I can't recommend this place.

A big glossy web site, but the hotel is a dump, and the staff match it, Arrived on a thursday afternoon and shown to a superior room, what a joke, it was filthy. so requested a change, and this was done, but the new room was only slightly better. There was no way I would allow anyone to stay here, so we booked out and they still charged us for one full night. Please do not under any circumstances consider this hovel.

We did not know what to expect but had heard tales of surly desk clerks etc. Our experience at the Prince relieved any fears we had. The staff was always helpful and most spoke English. The room, as predicted, was very small and worn, but was clean and quiet (the double windows overlooking Avenue Bosquet can be opened to drink in the Paris atmosphere but when closed the sealed windows keep out most noise. ) The shower had no curtain but then we didn't have to clean the bathroom so not our problem. Towels were changed everyday. Only one night was disturbed with upstairs guests doing exercises or something but quiet by 11 PM was the norm.! Location at Metro stop Ecole Militaire gave us great access to the whole city which we used constantly to go out to dinner and sightsee. We walked to Rue Cler close by to shop and eat at the Cafe du Marche and others. Neighborhood was perfectly safe at all hours and easy access to ATM's and pharmacies too. For the price it cannot be beat.
