Stayed here while visiting friends from college. Kind of turned into a reunion, and the hotel could not have been more accomodating.
It is great for a family traveling. We sat outside while the kids all played in the pool. It was great, because we could keep a watch on them (all teenagers), and not be subjected to humidity and chlorine!
We were planning on going over to Uno's next door, but that place is the most happening thing in Springfield these days. It was packed! This was just a Wednesday, I can't imagine a weekend night.
Instead the delivered our food to us and we were able to sit outside on the patio at the Hilton, listen to the music, enjoy our food and friends!
The rooms were clean and comfortable. I never heard any outside noises. I am one of those people though, who keeps the fan running in my hotel rooms, so I won't hear average noises.
I will definetly stay here again when visiting friends in Springfield!

Incredibly average for a Hilton Garden Inn. Breakfast was not so good, but maybe you just have to be in the dining room when everything has just come off of the stove otherwise, expect cold and dry eggs, etc.
Note: this hotel sits on a busy highway and you can hear the highway noise all night long. Bring a sound machine (one is provided in the room) or earplugs.
Some intangible quality about this hotel turned me off. I still like H.G.I.s overall, but I'll pass on this one the next time I'm in Springfield.

I stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The second I walked in I was greeted with a hello. Rooms were beautiful. Lots of room. Uno's Italian Grill is attached to the hotel so it's easy to go from hotel to get something to eat. Across from Basketball Hall Of Fame. It's great to be able to just walk across the parking lot and go into the hall of fame. Everyone was so nice

I try to stay at Hilton chain hotels when possible, for the sake of familiarity, and this HGI is right on par with others I have been to. There is the bonus of having the Uno Grill on site, which will provide room service from 5-9 pm. This was nice on my first night, when I was exhausted from travel and didn't feel like going out for dinner. There's also a couple of nice restaurants across the parking lot by the Basketball Hall of Fame, Max's Tavern and Pazzo, plus a Starbucks about a quarter mile away.
My room was on the 6th (top) floor, and at the end of the hallway so it was very quiet. It was a handicapped accessible room, which meant it was quite large as well. The breakfast buffet was great, with lots of hot food choices, though I normally stick to bagels and cereal and the like. Good coffee.
If you are used to the Hilton brand, the HGI doesn't disappoint. Comfortable, clean, upscale-casual feel. I come to the Springfield area because my company has an office in nearby Ludlow, and this is where I always stay.

I stayed here for a few nights in February. better then my previous stay. if you are a non-smoker do not stay on the third floor as it is 1/2 smoking, 1/2 non-smoking, and you could smell it coming under the door. This time i was on 2nd floor no issues.
