I reserved three rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Lafayette for a trip for a birthday. All rooms were on the 6th floor - we were all impressed with both the overall hotel and the rooms. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom and rooms were very clean. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Looked like a new shower curtain. The pool and hot tub were working well. The front desk clerks and the staff at the restaurant and bar were outstanding. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but we had a club sandwich one evening. It was really good and they made a grill cheese sandwich especially for my grandson. The bar area is nice - great bloody marys and margaritas..
I requested a crib on the second night of the stay as my grandson was staying with us. The crib was in the room in a matter of minutes. There were guests in the rooms next to us, but I never heard them.
In the evenings they served lemonade and fresh, hot cookies.
I have stayed in several hotels in the Lafayette area and this is now my favorite.
I will certainly recommend this hote.

This is the best hotel in Lafayette. The front desk staff were all great. They were welcoming and efficient. The guest rooms were fabulous. Plenty of space, they looked and smelled clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel has an indoor pool and whirlpool which is great all year long. The service and food in the restaurant were outstanding. You will not find a better hotel staff, from the General Manager, who you get to know at the Manager's Reception on Tuesday nights all the way to the Maintenance Man, who is alway ready to lend a hand, even if its not maintenance. If you looking for one night or a week's stay, this is the place to be.

Very nice people, great location, but dirty bathrooms. Requested that floor be cleaned after night # 1 because dirty on arrival; next night, bathtub/shower was dirty and had not been cleaned.

First, I agree with the most recent posting - the bathroom really needed to be cleaned properly. There were also bottle caps from various beers lying on the rug in the room, which I picked up and tossed out. The staff did not put calls through to the room from our business contacts in Lafayette, and in fact told the callers that I was not at the hotel.
Pluses - the breakfast was good. More of a minus - an evening meal was lackluster.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night while touring a bit of Cajun Country. This hotel is right across the street from the Cajundome...if you're attending a concert or event there, you literally can walk across the street.
The parking lot is well-lit, and the lobby is comfortably appointed. There is a little bar in the lobby, and there were tons of people hanging out (not in a creepy manner!) in the lobby...talking, visiting, having a cocktail. Parking is free.
The front desk staff was incredibly helpful with directions to restaurants or the nearest Starbucks. Check in/check out was very smooth.
The room was clean, comfortable, and affordable. This would be a great hotel for either a business traveler or family. I especially like the microwave/mini fridge combo. It's great if you want to pop a couple of drinks in there, or have a quick oatmeal in the morning (as do I). It wasn't a romantic room -- but have you found a romantic Hilton Garden Inn? Well, the one in Lake Oswego, Oregon is in a beautiful location...but I digress. ;-)
The bathroom was spacious, and one of my favorite features, the "bent" shower rod so that the shower curtain (in all its hotel germy-glory) doesn't touch you!
I'd definitely stay here again.
