I have stayed here several times now with my family and with friends. My kids go to Queen's University so it is very close to the campus and easy to meet for the weekend. It is a great location as it is close to the water, historic City Hall, skating rink, market and downtown Kingston for great shopping. You just park your car and walk everywhere. The restaurant is also very unique in style and decor and the food is great. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms have alot of space and are kept up to date and clean. If you have to work you have computer access plus if you book a suite you have a living room with desk and seperate bedroom.
For fitness the pool is great as is the fitness room.
Every time I have stayed there I have enjoyed it and highly recommend it to friends and family.

This is a nice, centrally located, quite business hotel, close to both the University and the central business district. The staff was friendly, room appointments comfortable: for pillow lovers the room provides a gigantic selection [5 on each queen bed and a couple of spares in the closet], and has iron and ironing board.

THis was a return visit to this exceptional hotel. The location is superb - right in the heart of downtown Kingston. The hotel staff was friendly, welcoming and caring. My suite was impeccable and beautifully and comfortably outfitted. The bed was the most luxuriously comfortable bed imaginable.
I had breakfast, lunch and a dinner in the hotel dining room during my stay and the meals were excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the dining room decor very comfortable and pleasant. I will definitely chose this hotel in the future.
This is a delightful hotel and first class in every way.

Stayed for one night on a business trip for my first time in Kingston. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. They were very helpful with suggestions about what to do and practical arrangements such as taxis. The room had everything one could expect for a reasonable CAN $120 including a coffee maker and bathrobe. It was spotless, had a comfortable bed and had a good view over downtown. We had dinner at the Sizzle restaurant. Good food and very friendly service. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I am writing the email to express my unhappiness with 4 Points Kingston.
On January 1, I booked my family to stay at the 4 Points in Kingston, Ontario. We were returning home from staying at the Westin in Mt Tremblant and decided to stay in Kingston to avoid a snow storm.
When arrived late at the hotel and were upgraded to a junior suite. However, when we got into the room we discovered that the décor was very old and in very poor shape. Celing tiles were falling and there were patches in the ceiling in the bedroom area. One wall in the sitting area looked like a piece of drywall that was just put into place with wall paper over it. It still had the rough edge that was not taped.
The rug was in bad shape and needed to be replaced.
I would rate this hotel as either a 1 or a 2. I am a Platinum member with Starwood and have stayed at many 4 Points Properties. This is the worst 4 Points that I have every stayed at. I even had to pay an extra $10 for parking.
I did tell the front desk about my frustration and they apologized for the condition of the hotel.
