Nice hotel
Guest name: brezi, Scottsdale, Arizona
This wasn't the cheapest hotel in Roswell, but it was worth paying the extra money. The rooms were recently renovated and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was really good, especially the hot cinnamon rolls. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Wonderful stay - they saved us from a major problem at another Roswell Hotel. When they say Pet friendly they mean it. Other hotel stated that if we left our pet in the room even if he was in his crate they would have the Roswell Animal shelter seize our pet. In a panic and very upset went to Holiday Inn - everyone was wonderful, we including our pet enjoyed our 2 nights with them. Nice breakfast, always had fresh coffee and plenty for everyone. If we go back to Roswell there is no doubt where we will be staying!!!!!

Very nice, and renovations underway

I have recently stayed at this hotel and the Hampton Inn, and I preferred this one. Major renovations are underway... painters and carpet installers were busy during my stay, but were never disrputive or noisy. My room was clean and comfortable, and looked to be midway through its updating. The bed was wonderful, the A/C worked very well and the shower was great.
Breakfast items were typical for HI Express, but I commented to the attendant that everything seemed fresher and better than usual. All of the staff was professional and personable.
The location is, in my opinion, better than Hampton's. The HI Express is closer to the downtown area and most restaurants.
Just one complaint... housekeeping was a little stingy with soap, and there was no hand lotion -- but the front desk provided them when I asked.
Highly recommended.
clean, and comfortable but no feng shui here

The Holiday Inn Express in Roswell is a servicable little hotel. Like most Expresses, it is a no-frills experience but it did rate higher on the creature comfort scale for me than a lot of expresses, in that it is run very much like a family-owned establishment. For example, a cat named Holi resides in the front desk area. The staffers who man the continental breakfast bar in the morning are very helpful. Front desk personnel are very professional.
The suites are laid out a little strangely. The pullout sofa pulls out into the kitchenette, which is a little odd. The mattress on the pullout we had was absolutely awful. I would recommend getting adjoining rooms if traveling in large groups.
The hotel is also close to Roswell's downtown and to restaurants and other attractions.
Nice, but must keep up the promises

We stayed the night of May 10, 2004. The room was spacious & comfortably appointed. The good points were: Iron & ironing board in the closet, small fridge & microwave, in-room coffee maker.
The complimentary breakfast had many choices (cereal, juices, coffee, tea, buns, etc.) & was very good.
Only annoyance was the tub faucet which was leaking so badly that it must've been that way for quite some time.
