I've traveled and posted about hotels around the world (see my rant on an unnamed 5 star London hotel). As a business traveler, I expect my hotel to have the following attributes: 1) Clean, Clean, Clean 2) Professional 3) Hi Tech amenities 4) Flexible 5) Priced reasonably Hawthorne Suites had all of the above. I was in Wichita Falls for business in late October. I can't say enough about this hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff professional (much appreciation on the early check-in) and most importantly the price was reasonable. In fact it may have been too reasonable - how on Earth does a hotel make money charging $109/night when it seems everything around me is going up 20% a year. To give you perspective, I recently paid $650 night for a supposed 5 star London hotel. Best bargain on the planet. Maybe! I almost hope to come back to Wichita Falls just to stay at this nice, relaxing hotel.

We held a family reunion at the Hawthorn Suites in Wichita Falls, Texas over Labor Day weekend, 2006. What drew us to the Hawthorn over the other hotels in the area was the fact that they accepted pets. From Friday through Monday, there were 19 people in 5 different rooms, along with 2 dogs. There was nothing more the hotel staff could have done to make our stay better. The suites were awesome ~ enough room for everyone and the kitchenettes were very handy. The continental breakfasts were delicious and the pool was sparkling. Having never been to Wichita Falls, we were uncertain where to stay. So glad we stumbled on to the Hawthorn experience. From now on, wherever there's a Hawthorn Suites, we will definitely be their guests! This was such an excellent experience ~ I highly recommend this hotel!!! Karen, Colorado Springs, CO

Ok, I must say when I read some of the previous reviews posted here on the Hawthorn Suites, they almost made me choose another place to stay. However, a friend of mine told me she had stayed at the Hawthorn Suites and raved about it. I decided to stay for 2 nights and everything was great. They had a free breakfast both mornings and free meet and greet foods each night. The rooms were clean and I was able to set the a/c at whatever temp I wanted. I even took advantage of the pool to cool off. They even had free internet with a printer in the lobby area at no cost. You just don't find these services everyday at every hotel and certainly not for the price at the Hawthorn Suites. I give it a thumbs up rating and plan to stay there on my future visits to Wichita Falls. Great Job!!!!!

We are in Wichita Falls often due to a daughter in college there.We thought we would try a different place than our usual.What a mistake.We were asked to put up a $50 room deposit because we would not put the room on our credit card!Upon checking out our roon was inspected by the very unpleasant manager.I am a 41 yr old married women who was being treated as a child!!We will return to usual place where guest are treated as a guest.

This is in their policy----- You can get your room payed for if you make a complaint about someone else staying at the hotel! Not only is it a bad policy it does not make since. If I ever stay here again I will just compain about a neighbor and they will have to pay for my room. Be very careful about your on volume especially walking on the floor!! You will get an extra charge.To top it off the staff is horrible including managers. I will never do buisness(nor my friends and family) here again!
