French charm and style and Parisian prices
Guest name: itsiain, Scotland
This was a short break of 3 nights duration.
The hotel is well presented and in excellent location with a good variety of restaurants nearby.
We stayed in a standard room which is on the small size but had everything required and a good ensuite bathroom. The decor is "very busy" but this adds to the charm of the room.
Breakfast is in a small but cosy breakfast room and only a continental option is available but everything was fresh and there is a good variety and plenty to eat.
The staff are charming with good English spoken and unifromly polite and very helpful.
The only downside is the cost but hey it's Paris and a cheap hotel is seldom a good one. We would certainly go back again and rrecommend it
Not a great experience

We booked this hotel in the hope that it would be a special little gem, with great rooms and great service – unfortunately this was not the case.
The hotel itself is very pretty and located among a very exclusive part of Paris and this I think could be the issue. The staff are not very friendly, almost bordering on arrogant (except Dorothee who was lovely).
This is not a cheap hotel and you expect a decent level of service but we did not get this. There is nothing major here but at this level of hotel the small details separate the great hotels from the average ones. We were first of all placed in the wrong room. Booked a superior room and put in a standard, I asked to be moved to a room that I had paid for and the challenged that I had actually booked it (although I had booking confirmation!). When they eventually agreed to move us they gave us a room right by the breakfast room so every morning you got woken up by people have breakfast! On our second day we came back from a day out and about (3:30pm) and found our room was not made up, they said they had not got round to it yet – it is only a small hotel!. When we checked out and let them know our concerns they did not seem interested at all – even tried to charge us for items we did not have on the mini bar!!
Over this could be a great hotel but the staff let it down, I would recommend you take you money and spend it elsewhere.

When you call the hotel, one of these 4 persons answer your call: Bruno, Sandra, Alan, or Andre. If you're reserving a room during rush times in Paris (during an exhibition, sports game, or new year's eve) these people become extremely rude at taking in your inquiry ! I don't need to see the rooms or check out the food when I feel that I need to beg the staff not to put me on hold for more than 10 minutes !!! Try calling them: [--] and ask anything you want. The first thing you'll get is "Please hold, we have to take another call". Why the hell would you pick up if you're going to place clients on hold forever ???!!!
BECAREFUL WHEN YOU GET A VERBAL CONFIRMATION FROM THE STAFF !!! DON'T GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS BEFORE YOU GET YOUR AVAILABILITY CONFIRMATION IN WRITING ! And if you think you can talk with the general manager of this hotel, e-mail me and tell me you succeeded. The manager doesn't EXIST !
I challenge him/her to respond to this message and tell me I am mistaken !

My husband and I stayed at this lovely boutique hotel Aug. 31st for several days. The hotel itself is lovely , the beds are very comfortable with a loveseat at the end by the french doors, the decor is very french and well chosen.
The staff are very nice , my husband and I liked the new member named Dominic , this young man was always pleasant and prepared to go out of his way to be helpful.
The hotel is as it's been written before is close to everything , shopping , restaurants and of course all the main sights.
Around the corner is this terrific restaurant named " Chez Andre "
The lady that runs the establishment is especially nice and is helpful to non- speaking french customers.
There is a restaurant on the right end of the street that I don't recommend, you will always find a long line up of locals waiting to go in to this restaurant I think it was entrocote ---------. We did make it in one evening when there became a lull in the line-up
we also discovered that there are NO Menu's everyone is served the same dish ... Steak & Frites with an ugly brownish, green sauce. all you can eat which is obviously the draw to this establishment.. On the other hand if you like this bland menu , get ready to stand in line for a log time.
