A beautiful hotel with fantastic rooms, great location and helpful staff who speak English! The breakfast was a highlight as it was so extensive especially as it was included in our room price (which was also good). The hotel is undergoing a refurbsihment but it was not intrusive and did not hinder our leisure stay. Would reccomend to anyone that loves true 5 star hotels.

Anläßlich eines Kurztrips nach Paris haben wir dieses Hotel gebucht. Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem individuellen, kleineren Hotel im franz. Stil, ohne jedoch verstaubt zu wirken - und unsere Erwartung wurden zu 100% erfüllt. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt und alle Hotspots sind schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Die nächste Metro/RER Station ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Wir hatten einen frühen Flug und hatten nicht erwartet gegen 9 Uhr Früh schon einchecken zu können. Das Zimmer war jedoch - welche Freude - schon bereit und sogar noch mit einem Upgrade in die nächsthöhere Kategorie verbunden! Unser Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Auch das Frühstück war für französische Verhältnisse sehr vielfältig und von hoher Qualität. Das "des Mathurins" können wir in jedem Fall bestens weiterempfehlen und für den nächsten Parisurlaub wird es sicher wieder unsere 1. Adresse.

I stayed here in January 2008. The hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly and professional. I had ordered a mojito in the bar on the first night and the barman came back to me after a minute apologising that there was no mint on hand but that if I was willing to wait 5 minutes he would run out to a shop and get some - over and above the call of duty! (I declined!). Drinks are very expensive though - ?13 for any type of gin & tonic / baileys etc. But they come with a lovely selection of savoury nibbles. The room we had was quite small but very clean and modern - no awful busy floral bedcovers... The bathroom was a great size. The bedroom got extremely warm at night however. I didn't raise this with staff so it's something that I'm sure could be remedied. Location is great - just next to Boulevard Haussmann (shops) and a short walk from both the Madeleine and Champs Elysees. There is also an English pub next door which is handy, and also some great restaurants literally around the corner. I would stay here again.

I know it was a few months ago, But i want to share my experience at Les Mathurins with people who are thinking of staying there! My boyfriend and I went there for three nights in August and we had a fantastic romantic break away! we were able to leave our luggage there and roam the city as we arrived very early in the morning!!! the room was just beautiful and luxurious....especially the duvet-it was like a marshmallow!!! it is centrally located and beside the metro/rer and the staff were very nice, especially when we had a late flight, so we left our luggage again at not extra cost! breakfast was nice although if you came down at 10.25am, there wouldn't be a huge selection of meats left. overall, i would not hesitate in staying here again or telling friends about it. we got a great deal but it still was expensive- but well worth it!!!

+: The hotel and the rooms are very luxury. Also the breakfast is a good value (inclusive in room rate). -: Check-in did take too long, also our needs where not taking care off (one smoking room and a non smoking room was asked for, but not delivered). -: But we also had a serious problem: We asked if our car could stay in front of the hotel. The receptionist said: ”normally it is no problem in the weekends”. The next day it was towelled away by the police. Nobody from the hotel did see anything or apologize. The receptionist only said that is was not the responsibility of the hotel nor hers (Afcourse we know!). SO don’t park your car in front off the hotel, no matter what they say! Total cost: 300 euro!
