My husband and I stayed at The Trois Poussins hotel in Paris for 4 days from 10-12 May 2008, and found the hotel to be fantastic. It is very close to some lovely restaurants and only a short distance away from the Metro.
From start to finish we could not say enough about our stay. Firstly, our room was average sized, very clean and everything was in working condition. Each day our bathroom was restocked with soaps, shower gel, shampoos and flannels along with ample towels.
Our bed was extremely comfortable and spacious, black out blinds on the windows ensure that we were able to get up a bit later than normal (well we were on a short break) and the hotel was very quiet so a good night’s sleep was never a problem.
We only every had breakfast at the hotel, and once again the hotel came up trumps, everything from fruit juice, yoghurts, cereals, toast, brioche, pain au chocolat, tea and coffee, all on a self service basis in a very quaint dining area in the basement.
There is also a little beer garden at the back of the hotel, but unfortunately when we were there only soft drinks were available.
Reception staff – what can we say about them … everyone was so polite and friendly, and always had a ‘bonjour’ or ‘au revoir’ accompanied with a smile when we passed by, and we noticed that this was the same with all the guests. One of the receptionists even made a call for us to confirm our transfer back to the airport at no additional costs to us.
In summation, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would be looking for a quiet, comfortable and very friendly place to stay. When we go back to Paris (which we hope will be in the not too distant future) we will be booking back into The Trois Poussins.
BON VOYAGE

Booked through expedia on basis of reviews both on the expedia website and through trip advisor, me and my girlfriend weren't disappointed. Throughout our stay there were numerous staff on reception, all of which were at least bi-lingual (French + English) and on checking in we were given a complimentry map with the hotel and nearest metro both highlighted,
The room was on the small side in comparison to English hotels but was more than adequate and very clean, with a large bathroom that contained a bath (only big enough to stand/sit in for a shower), sink and toilet.
Each day the room was cleaned to a good standard and towels were replaced.
The nearest metro is liteally 200 meters away and the hotel is in a perfect location to explore the whole of Paris as well as taking advantage of numerous restaurants, bistro's, cafe's and bakery's for breakfast.
The hotel were kind enough to store our bags securely for 5 hours after our check out until our train later that day something im sure u wouldnt get from all hotel chains.
In summary, a lovely little private hotel with a friendly helpful smiling face on reception a perfect base for exploring Paris and would happily recommend to friends and family. Yes there are more luxurious hotels in Paris but on a budget you cant go wrong!!

This was our first time to Paris and this hotel played a part in making our trip very enjoyable. After long days of walking and touring, it was wonderful to return to a very clean room and comfy beds and pillows. The bathroom was a good size and the air conditioning was a treat. We had a great view from the 6th floor and found the hotel very quiet at night. Just a few minutes walk to the Metro for easy access to all parts of Paris. We walked to local restaurants for breakfast and dinner, and even a 15-minute walk to Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge. The area was safe and very clean (except near the Moulin Rouge it was a bit seedy but once we got off that street it was fine). We highly recommend the following restaurant just around the corner from the hotel: Le Bistrot Lorette (43 rue Notre Dame de Lorette). A prix fixe menu was very reasonable for the absolute gourmet dinner we enjoyed. 25 euros for 2 courses or 30 euros for 3 courses. It was worth every euro and the owner offered wonderful service. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Charming hotel in a wonderful neighborhood (filled with more local Parisiens than tourists). Comfortable bed, very clean, helpful staff, good-sized rooms for a European hotel, convenient to metro. Would not hesitate to recommend and will be the first place we look for a vacancy when we return to Paris.

Great Staff / OK Hotel

I visited Paris with my mother and booked two rooms at the Les Trois Poussins in the Montmartre District. Overall the staff at the hotel was excellent. They were always available and willing to help in any way possible. The housekeeping service was equally excellent and the rooms were spotless every afternoon.
The hotel itself is small and in a residential neighborhood of Paris. There are plenty of Metro stops nearby so getting anywhere in Paris is not a problem. There are many cafes, bars, and shops in walking distance to the hotel and we particularly liked the "No Stress Cafe" about a half block away. Keep in mind that they only start serving food at 7:30 p.m. so before that it is only drinks and coffee.
The rooms, by any standard, are absolutely tiny. The bathrooms barely have enough room for a grown man to fit and the stand-up shower allows virtually no movement once you are inside. Water pressure is good and everything was in good working order. The beds are very comfortable but if you keep your window open, you will get a tremendous amount of street noise, particularly in the waking hours of the morning.
The elevator/lift was broken for about half of our stay so we were required to climb several flights of stairs to come up and down from the rooms. This didn't bother me but was a chore for my mother. We ate the breakfast downstairs one time and it was ok...primarily cereal and croissants. The WIFI internet was included in my rate but will not work anywhere other than the lobby or courtyard. The reception in the rooms is almost non-existent. If you purchase the internet access, keep this in mind.
There really is some "charm" to this hotel and we did like it for its Paris "feel" and quaint location. Once you get over the initial shock of just how small the rooms are it actually starts to grow on you in a positive way. It is somewhat of a cliche but it is very true: One does not go to Paris to stay all day in a hotel room.
