Having looked on the website, we were looking forward to staying in this hotel, described on its website as "luxury left-bank Paris hotel". However, we were disappointed. Having paid extra for a deluxe room, we found there were no tea or coffee making facilities, despite the website stating that these would be present in the deluxe rooms. The room was small, but rooms in Paris are small and the bed in this particular room was huge, accounting for some of the lack of space. Having a 20 minute walk to Saint Michel station and the bustling streets which surround it, we certainly would not say that this hotel is "in the heart of the Latin Quarter", as its website claims. The staff did speak excellent English, but it became marginally annoying having to buzz for a receptionist to let us in when the hotel doors were locked before 11:30 every night. The room was nicely decorated, and there was plenty of hot water for the shower and bath, but we would definitely say that it was overpriced, even at the special internet rate which we paid.

We can only say great things about this hotel, rooms were not huge but very comfortable, clean and very parisian.
The staff were very friendly and spoke fluent english making it a very warm and welcoming hotel, location on the left bank superb,
you can walk to nearly every must see sight eg: Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and of course the Luxemborg Gardens etc with the exception of the Sacre Couer which is where the RER comes into play as there is a station within 500 metres.
The best recommendation is that if we were flying into Paris tomorrow we would have no hesitation in staying there for another 5 nights.

This is a lovely hotel. A great location near the Luxembourg gardens, very quiet considering the location, and nicely decorated and maintained. All in all a classy place. But we felt it was not good value for money as although we had paid extra for a superior room our room was absolutely tiny, even by Parisian standards. (I know that travellers from North America often find European rooms small, but believe me, even by European standards, this was really small) It was up on the top floor so perhaps ones below would have been bigger, but then perhaps it would be better not to designate such rooms as superior, as we were left wondering what we would have got had we not upgraded! It was OK for a night, but if you were staying there for longer it would have been somewhat claustrophobic, not to mention inconvenient as with 2 people in it, you almost could not avoid bumping into each other.

The hotel is excellent in a quiet location not far from the centre of the latin quarter. We stayed in room 402 for three nights from the 19th January 2008.
The room was lovely and one of the cleanest and quietest we have ever stayed in. The room itself is not that large and the bathroom is very small. However there was plenty of hot water with clean towels and room service everyday. There is a TV in the room with CNN and BBC World Service and located beneath the tv cabinet was the safe which is free and the minibar which is reasonably priced for a Paris Hotel. We did not have breakfast in the hotel because it costs 18 euors extra. The staff at the hotel are excellent and speak perfect English, there is someone at the desk 24 hours a day, and they are very knowledgeable of what to see and where to go in Paris.
We chose the hotel because of the previous good reviews on trip advisor and the location. From leaving the airport at Charles De Gaulle, we caught the RER B train which takes you to the Luxembourg Station. This route is direct and you do not need to change trains and the cost is 8 euros each way. You walk out from the underground Luxembourg station following the Exit sign (sortie) for Rue De l'Abee. When you arrive at ground level walk on for about 15 metres turn left and walk for about another 150 metres and the hotel is on your right hand side.
Next to the hotel is a restaurant and cafe and not much else. We walked down to St Michel Place which takes about ten minutes (or you can catch the RER B train from Luxembourg Station to St. Michel Place) that's where the lively nightlife of the latin quarter is situated. We ate in restaurants which had dinner for 15 euros for a choice of three courses and the bars have a happy hour between 18.00 and 21.00 hours or you could grab a gyro (greek kebab) for about five euros. Drinks were about 8 euros for a pint of larger and between 15 - 20 euros for a bottle of wine. This area of Paris I would recommend for its lively and friendly atmosphere and good value for money in what is possibly the worlds most expensive city.
We found the best way to see the City is the open top bus tour which is 28 euros for a 2 day ticket and we also used the metro and RER where you can buy 10 tickets for 10 euros (this is called a carnet).
Fab weekend, when we go back to Paris we will be looking to stay at this hotel again - Loved It!

This hotel is small and cramped, the room we had was so small we had to put the suitcases outside the room until a bigger room could be found, very well furnished and well looked after except for the luggage marks on walls where people have tried to get there luggage into the room, very cramped hallways and very small lift, staff so-so even a little off hand, booked a smoking room but on arrival was told it was a non smoking hotel but in the brochure stated it had both smoking and non smoking. I'm surprised by the amount of people who seemed shocked to find that you can get hot water in a hotel are they also shocked to find that they have electricity. These things do come as standard in any class of hotel........ Overall not a bad hotel just very small.
