Stayed here for two nights in March. The hotel was very quiet and the location is great as in it is right on the sea so you can hear the waves when you wake up. However getting to Cannes is a nightmare - 50 euros in a cab if you can get one.
On my final day I asked reception to order me a cab to the airport "non" was the reply - not possible today and back to reading the newspaper.
OK so this is France but come on! I didn't eat here in the evening so can not comment on the food however room service for breakfast was efficient and of good quality.
Four star....non!

We visit this hotel twice a year for over ten years now. The atmospehere at the hotel is what makes us come there. It is really peaceful, has it's own beach and has a great restaurant. I must say there are big differences between room types, standard rooms are not the biggest rooms, but the Superior Rooms are great! Beautiful view on the sea, nice size of room. I think the staff is always friendly and helpful. The more you come there, the more you like it.

Although the surrounding Côte d'Azur is obviously gorgeous, it is not clear why anyone would pick this hotel given the abundance of places to stay in the area. Rooms and facilities are not smaller or more grossly overpriced than anywhere else on the Côte, but the "private beach" is not a beach but a small concrete slope so the ridiculous 30 Euros/day are better spent on a real beach in Cannes.
The worst thing about the hotel though is the service, which is simply not up to a 4-star standard. A group of 25 people is apparently not considered an excellent business opportunity during this weekend in which the hotel was less than half full, but rather a nuisance. At 11 pm the bar staff on the 1st floor claimed they were closed and sent us upstairs - the bar staff on the 4th floor then sent us downstairs again (then started to argue with the other staff) and nobody seemed motivated to provide us with decent or acceptably fast service.
When the first members checked out at 9:30 am they were outraged to hear the reception request them to tell the others to leave quickly (normal checkout time is 12:00) so the total bill could be settled as soon as possible.
Personal care services (sauna, hammam, massage...) are good but one of us had to endure a one hour long unsollicited rant about the working conditions in the hotel and the high staff turnover.
In short the place looks like a sinking ship waiting for a complete change of management.

Nous venons de rentrer d'un séjour de 10 jours du 05.08.07 au 14.08.07. Il s'agit de notre troisième séjour dans cet hôtel mais le plus décevant. Nous avons constaté une baisse de qualité par rapport à nos deux autres séjours datant de 1999 et 2004. Nous y avons séjourné en famille avec deux enfants dans une suite junior. Celle-ci n'était pas très propre et très mal éclairée. La chambre des parents est au noir juste éclairée par une petite porte vers le séjour (où les lits enfants avaint été dressés; l'un sur le canapé et l'autre à côté). Ce séjour extrêmement petit ne permettait plus le passage vers la terrasse. La moquette n'ayant jamais été rafraîchie depuis à notre avis une dizaine d'années ne donnait vraiment pas une impression de propreté. Il est était de même pour le couvre-lit tâché et présentant des brûlures de cigarettes. Sinon peu de possibilité de rangement et une salle de bain trop petite (un seul évier). Le wc n'était pas séparé. Alors que les deux autres fois, nous pouvions constater la présence de la direction toujours soucieuse du bien-être, nous n'avons plus constaté cette présence. S'agissant de la demi-pension, celle-ci est par contre d'un très bon niveau et reste dans la suite de ce que nous avons pu apprécier les deux autres fois. Chaque jour, des suggestions sont proposées en quatre services d'un excellent niveau avec un personnel de salle ainsi qu'un maître d'hôtel très agréables. Enfin la piscine et la plage sont satisfaisantes bien que la plage ne soit pas entièrement privée (location à des externes). Le service y est satisfaisant.

This was our second stay at the Miramar. For the price and view, my girlfriend and I think it is one of the best deals in Europe. We also like the fact it is far enough away from Cannes to be quiet but not too far to visit nitely. The double rooms are spacious and the balconies offer a nice place for a tan or nap. Although, there is no a natural beach, I find the concrete sand color deck accommadating for a swim in the Med. Also, good for people who like the beach but don't care for sand. There is also snorkling along side the hotel swimming area. The restaurant upstairs offered excellent service and beautiful views along with fantastic French cuisine. One of the waiters looks a little like George Clooney. Didn't use the spa, but hope to on the next trip. My only complaint was our room was next to the road which took away from the oceanview at times. However, we can't wait to go back!
