We had a nice stay at the Neruda and found our room to be spacious and comfortable. It was on a cute street that was just below the castle and not far from the rest of the sights. However, getting to the hotel requires walking up a steep hill (although we did find a way to get there by taking the #22 or #23 tram to Pohorelec and then walking down from there).
One complaint we had was that the staff were cold and not overly helpful. But our biggest complaint was the cost of breakfast. Our package included the breakfast (which was pretty good) but we had friends join us one morning and told the hotel to charge our room for their meal. We later learned that they charged us 450CZK per person, which is much, much more than the breakfast was worth.

Decent hotel but problems

First they didnt have the reservation and told me it would be 50% more. THis was resolved the next day which was stressful. The room was OK. Location actually was not optimal. I would stay on the other side of Charles Bridge next visit - closer to everything. When we left we noticed that gas had been siphoned out of the tank! They paid for the missing gas but I think this is unacceptable (to not trust the hotel) They didnt put up much of a fight so perhaps this happens often. TAKE a picture of your gas gage and milage with a camera or cell phone (or show someone the gas gauge on staff). For the money (100 E) it was fine. Parking was $45 a day - what a rip off.
