This hotel is a great place. Staff is great. Very friendly. Morning breakfast is excellent. The rooms are great but a bit pricey. If you are traveling with three or four, enquire about the apartments in back. They are decent, nothing special, but their kitchen with refrigerator and stove can really help stretch the american dollar on the French Riveira on an extended trip. The price of the apartment is great when compared to three rooms.

Booked on the strength of previous reviews and had a very pleasant stay at the Belle Plage. It was worth the battle through the Cannes traffic that we had to find it (even the sat nav got confused) and the 15 euros a day we paid to park underneath. There was only one space left, so it would be worth booking in advance, rather than having the trial of looking elsewhere. If you have a room at the front of the hotel the views from the balconies are spectacular, especially from the higher floors. We also liked the rooftop pool area, where you can take up drinks from the bar and sunbathe on the loungers. The little park between the hotel and the beach absorbs some of the noise and is a welcome oasis from the relentless traffic. The beaches are opposite the hotel, including a free one and the walk to main part of Cannes took us about 10 minutes, Rooms are very clean and the tasteful decor reflects the cinema theme that is evident throughout the hotel: our room had posters from the 1946 film festival. One complaint was that the hairdryer appeared to be from 1946 as well, heavy wall mounted thing of the type that used to be found in swimming baths. Another small gripe was the hand held shower, but overall the bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast is served until 10.30 on the pleasant mezzanine level. It’s of limited choice, but there’s plenty of it and the opportunity to order cooked food if you wish. Staff are very friendly and helpful and queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Would recommend the hotel and feel that the price charged offers very good value for Cannes. Favourite places to eat included La Frégate and La Plage (round the corner) and the more up market Au Poisson Grillé (great set price menu for 28 euros), which is on the harbour.

Hice mi reserva por la solidez de las críticas anteriores y tuve una estancia muy agradable en el Belle Plage. Mereció la pena la lucha contra el tráfico de Cannes para encontrarlo (incluso el navegador via satélite se confundió) y los 15€ al día que pagamos para aparcar debajo del hotel. Sólo había una plaza libre, así que sería una buena idea reservar con anterioridad mejor que tener que buscar después dónde aparcar. Si tienes una habitación de las de la parte frontal del hotel, las vistas son espectaculares, en especial desde las plantas superiores. También nos gustó la zona de piscina del tejado, a donde puedes subirte bebidas del bar y tomar el sol en las tumbonas. El parquecito que hay entre el hotel y la playa absorbe mucho ruido y es un oasis de agradecer que te protege del implacable tráfico. Las playas están enfrente del hotel, incluso una gratis, y llegar andando a la parte principal de Cannes nos llevó 10 minutos. las habitaciones están muy limpias y la decoración, de mucho gusto, se basa en el cine, y queda patente por todo el hotel: nuestra habitación tenía posters del festival de cine de 1946. Nuestra queja fue que el secador de pelo parecía ser de 1946 también, pesado y montado en la pared del tipo que había en las piscinas públicas. Otra queja sin importancia es que la ducha era de mano, pero en conjunto el baño era moderno y estaba limpio. Servían el desayuno hasta las 10:30h en el entresuelo, que era agradable. Tiene una variedad limitada, pero es muy abundante y te dan la opción de pedir que te cocinen algo si lo deseas. El personal es muy amable y servicial y te responden a tus preguntas de forma eficiente y rápida. Recomendaría el hotel y opino que el precio que cuesta es muy bueno en relación con la calidad que tiene para ser Cannes. Mis lugares preferidos para comer eran "La Frégate" y "La Plage" (a la vuelta de la esquina) y de categoría superior el "Au Poisson Grillé" (fantástico menú por 28 €), que se encuentra en el puerto.

J’y ai dormi une nuit en voyage d’affaires. D’habitude, je ne parle jamais au personnel, mais là je ne sais pas pourquoi, je me suis mis à discuter à bâtons rompus avec le réceptionniste et l’un de ses amis. La conversation a pris une tournure très agréable et très intéressante, sur l’avenir des sociétés occidentales, une discussion qui restera probablement gravée longtemps dans ma mémoire. La chambre était tout à fait classique. Salle de bains et toilettes séparés. Pour une raison qui m’échappe, les oreillers étaient cachés dans un placard, et j’ai mis du temps à trouver où ils étaient. Il y avait un petit balcon avec une vue dans l’angle sur la plage et l’océan. Pas d’accès à Internet, ce qui, pour moi qui suis souvent en voyage d’affaires, est inacceptable. Il est situé loin du centre-ville de Cannes, où se concentre toute l’activité, mais on peut quand même aller facilement à pied partout. Cela me convenait parfaitement. J’ai payé 119 € la nuit sans le petit déjeuner.
