Our high school band and auxiliary students took a trip to Southern CA and the band director chose this property based on a previous stay of his. We were all very pleased with the accommodations. The beds were SO comfortable!! The rooms were more than adequate for the kids who shared 4 to a room. Having a full breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day to be sure the kids had eaten before going to Disneyland. We were always gone by 10 a.m. and didn't return until after midnight, so we didn't allow the kids to run around the property and disrupt the other guests. The adults were able to sit in the atrium area and have a view of all doors to be sure the kids didn't leave their rooms. (The chaperones also put a piece of tape on their doors at night and if it's found to be broken the next morning, those kids are sent home.) The staff was extremely accommodating and our rooms were immaculate. This is definitely a property I would be happy to return to.

We nearly always stay at Embassy Suites and I despite the fact that we live only about 90 minutes away, we often find ourselves in Orange County for one reason or another. I prefer this property to the Embassy Suites 10 minutes away in Irvine (they charge for parking and the hotel itself is not as nice inside). Mainly, I chose this hote because of location (right off the 55, can see from freeway, close to all, centrally located) but also because they were constantly having specials. As a Hilton Honors member I probably stayed there six times last year completely free using points, they often had specials and discounted their point cost for stays, making it very easy to stay there.
The breakfast in the morning is top notch, as it is in all embassy Suites, the atrium is similar to most and is particularly nice. The afternoon Manager's Reception isn't super great but they sometimes have Nachos and the drinks are free.
The location is in a group of hotels there are literally 5-6 hotels right next to each other, next door a Hampton Inn (also in the Hilton family but a bit cheaper and fewer star property). This hotel (and this group of hotels) seems to be very busy, they have a lot of weddings, conventions and groups, they have been packed full a few times I have been there.
One night I had a problem, the door between the bedroom and the living room locked and we couldn't get it open which was a problem since our kids were trapped on the other side. Luckily someone came right up and changed the locks. Without even asking he presented us with a free movie coupon, which was very nice. Whenever we've called for towels, blankets, toiletries we've always gotten exactly what we wanted, promptly. They staff is always friendly and helpful, tolerant of our noisy kids, etc.

We visited the Embassy Suites/Santa Ana Orange County for a 2 night stay, Friday and Saturday nights to attend a class reunion. All arrangements were made through the Hilton Hotel WEB site and our arrangements were precisely what we wanted. The entry way, reception desk and surrounding areas were beautiful and well appointed. The interior atrium was also very beautiful and well done. The personnel at the front desk were very efficient and personable. We found the morning breakfast area chaotic and not very well organized with too few tables to use. The hotel restaurant was very nice and we enjoyed the one meal that we had at the restaurant. Our room was extremely quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed one of the best night’s sleep that we had in a long time. However, the room seemed somewhat run down and old with some items not very well maintained, some items were replaced with very cheap replacements. The rooms need quality upgrades. I also noticed a plaque next to the front desk that indicated the hotel is owned by a group of investors which I had never heard of and not owned by a corporation. We feel that we received our money’s worth, but doubt that we would go out of our way for future visits.

I went for the holiday weekend with a girlfriend, her daughter and my three children. The hotel is great hub to experience OC. We went to Knottts Berry Farm, Newport Beach, OC Flea market, Irvine Spectrum and were just minutes from each attraction. It was very convenient. The free breakfast was delicious and the free drinks even better. The kids had a blast in the indoor pool.

We stayed two nights at this Hotel during a spring break trip to visit U.C.L.A. and U.C.I with our teenage daughters and young son. From the moment we walked in it was chaos. Out of control kids polo and basketball teams running all over knocking down chairs and running into people while their parent chaperons sat at happy hour turning their backs. One boy, completly out of control hit an elderly women with a karate kick. The coach said "hey they are just having fun'. No consideration for any other guests. At another table a group of nasty mouthed people drank and then continued to drink until 11.00pm in their room shouting obcensenities. Security was obviously afraid of these guys, because nothing was done about it. (it may of been their buddies sneaking in, as people ran up and down the back stair wells all night long). If you want a nice relaxing stay, do not stay here! It was a total waste of money an a harsh reality of the ugly American.
