Okay Stay but Bathrooms are small - no tub in King Rooms

We stopped (2 adults, 2 children) overnight off I-95 for one night - it was less than 10 minutes off the interstate but it took a little longer getting back on the next morning. There are many restaurants nearby so it was easy to pick up dinner, get gas, etc.
The hotel is your typical Embassy except that the bathrooms are tiny. This bathroom made NYC hotel bathrooms seem large in comparison. I'm average size and I barely fit in there so I can't imagine a larger person being comfortable. There is a second sink in the bedroom which helped because there is only room for one in there. If you're a bath taker, take note that only Double Rooms have tubs. We had a king room and had to move because we wanted a bathtub. We weren't charged but it would have been nice to know this when we made the reservations.

From the moment we stepped up to the reception desk to the moment we left 4 days later, we were treated wonderfully. EVERY person employed by the hotel that we came upon, spoke to us, whether to say "good morning", or "have a nice day", etc.
The front desk was efficient, professional, and friendly.
It was nice having a 2 room suite that could be separated by closing a door. Yes, the bathroom was on the small side, but we'd rather have the bedroom & living area be as large as they were rather than make the bathroom larger. (we did have a slight problem regulating the shower water temperature.) There was also a sink & mirror in the bedroom area which was a nice extra. The "kitchen" area was adequate with a small fridge & microwave.
The included breakfast every morning had a wide assortment of food including fruit,pastries/muffins, hot & cold cereal,bacon/sausage, and delicious made-to-order omelets.
Went to the evening reception/cocktail hour once---was nice. The front lobby was a comfortable area place for meeting up with other members of family.
Would DEFINITELY stay here again !!

I made my reservation for this hotel for my return home from Florida for April 26 since the reviews seemed to be so favorable. I really don’t know what happened! My husband, 5 year old son and I stayed in a room with a king bed and pull out couch. First off, the rooms are being renovated. The shape of the room we had seemed very odd. There was a living room/kitchenette area. Then a very SMALL hallway, a very SMALL bathroom to your right and then the bedroom. The bathroom is VERY small to the point where you can't even open or close the door without having to step to the side. I said to my husband that they made the door bigger than the bathroom itself. The bedroom is a fairly good size.
First problem - Refrigerator did not work. However, they did replace that right away.
Second problem - The air conditioning unit started to leak. Maintenance came and drained the cover, but the unit kept leaking all night (in essence keeping me up with the dripping sound all night long!!!!)
Third problem - Like I mentioned above, this hotel is having the rooms updated and unfortunately workers decided to start loading and moving furniture, supplies, etc. right down the hall from my room at midnight!
Fourth problem - As I was leaving the next morning (after being up all night) and proceeded to check the bed in the bedroom for anything I might have left under the sheets, I lift the sheets up and there running around the bed is a big centipede! That kind of did it for me.
Needless to say, I sort of told them at the front desk what I thought of their hotel on the way out. I was very disappointed and of course would never stay here again or ever recommend it.
Oh, by the way they have a breakfast buffet that is included in the price, but unfortunately I never go to try it since I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible!
Everything you want, and then some

Visiting University of Richmond with our daughter - only a short drive to campus. Right off the highway, near a host of restaurants, etc.
$189 + 25tax =$214 on hotel website w/ AAA. Great, friendly staff. Quick delivery of extra pillows, towels. Newly & tastefully refurbished rooms (almost "too" new - still has that fresh carpet smell). Comfortable bed, great bath w/ plush towels. Real two room suite - privacy for parents/kids. Sliding door to a small balcony (a hotel where you can actually get some fresh air)! All the amenities (free internet via provided ethernet cable). If you like atriums, this one is par for the course. Excellent INCLUDED breakfast w/ made to order omelets. Maybe we Northeasterners are not used to Southern hospitality, but the staff here was incredibly friendly (even the construction guys working on the ongoing renovations). All in all, this was what this weary family needed after over nine hours on the road. Would stay here again without hesitation.

My husband accompanied me while I attended a weekend business meeting. The hotel check-in was quick and accurate, lobby and facilities are beautiful, room very comfortable (although the bathroom's a bit small, but it's not a major problem because there are sinks in the bedroom and in the living room suite as well).
The breakfast buffet that came in the room fee was wonderful - wide selection, high quality, including fresh fruit in late February -early March. I ate the lunch buffet as well, and white it's a little pricey ($15) there's a lot of selection and the quality was good. It was very convenient not to have to leave the hotel.
My conference enjoyed wonderfully comfortable chairs, great food and beverage services, and a clean, quiet environment.
