Upon arrival we were told our reservation has been cancelled at 8:00 a.m., via the 800 #, the day of our arrival. I explained I would not cancel & show up a few hours later. I also said if I had cancelled I would have done it via the internet & I still wanted our reservations. The young man assisting us was very nice, but told us they hotel was overbooked by 2 & we made the 3rd. I told him the mistake was not our fault & we still wanted to stay in this hotel. The lady I think her name was 'Rashida" was rude & told us we had to go to another hotel. She began calling other hotels. My husband said he wanted to file a complaint, she was very rude & said "wait we'll give you the #". The man said there was a presidential suite open she was rude & said "Put them in a room, maybe the next people will be more reasonable". The lobby was full & I felt her comments were not needed & embarrassing. I have been in many Embassy Suites & never been disrespected or insulted before. I know Embassy Suites does not allow employees to be rude.
Additionally the only one elevator worked.

Okay, so maybe you can put up with the constant grinding, dust and banging on the walls. Perhaps it won't bother you that the elevators don't work, so you are constantly walking 3-4 floors being careful not to get the "fresh paint" on your suit and tie. Maybe it won't frustrate you that you can get no satisfaction from the surly staff, who give you "have a good days while they do nothing to help them be anything short of terrible," but when they throw you and your 6 kids out of the pool at 10pm for the "honeymoon swim" -- while there are of course no honeymooners fool enough to be staying at the hotel, then you know its time to tell your fellow travellers: STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!.

My husband and I always stay at Embassy Suites when we travel and this one is a a favorite. The staff is the best. I have many years experience in customer service and I'd be proud to have any of these wonderful people work for me. Each and every staff member I met went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with our stay. Even when some of the more "upscale" guests treated the staff as if they were personal servants, they continued to be courteous and professional. They've gone through some growing pains with renovations but its coming along beautifully. As I checked out, I mentioned that I'd tried to get another reservation but they were booked for the time I desired. The desk clerk went into the computer and managed to secure me a room. Turns out it required a two day stay, something the website didn't mention. I was very pleased and look forward to my next stay.

I stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and have enjoyed this hotel everytime. Not only does this hotel have a strong staff from start to finish, the running waterfall from the second floor is breath taking. The two-room suites are spacious and well-packed with goods including frig, m-wave, minibar, 2 tvs and pull-out couches.
When you visit, make sure you stop in the atrium and meet RALEIGH, the parrot. He's been with the hotel from the beginning.
