This is my second stay at the Embassy Suites next to Omaha's Old Market district. The location is fantastic - just stroll across the street to get to a large selection of shops, restaurants, and taverns. It's just south of downtown and near the Qwest Center and the river. Stayed three nights for a business meeting. Suites are spacious and quiet. Staff are friendly, the free breakfast is hot and prepared to order. Omaha's weather extremes are easily ignored in the huge atrium space with koi-filled streams and plenty of bars. Apart from a little clumsy room service (coffee not restocked, etc), I have no complaints about this hotel, and would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites in Omaha. The location was amazing--in the heart of downtown, with many exceptional shops and restaurants just a block or two away, if that. We had an impressive view of downtown from our window. A lovely riverwalk area was also only a block or two away. I wish we'd had more time to explore it, but a thunderstorm interrupted our stroll.
Our complaints were relatively minor. Of all the hotels we stayed during this vacation, this was the only one where valet parking seemed to be a necessity rather than an option. We got the impression that we would have to use this service in order to get a luggage cart (though we did see another guest pushing one himself, so perhaps this wasn't accurate). The arrangement of the room was a little different from what we'd experienced in other hotels: the bathroom was actually in the hallway between the living area and the bedroom, rather than connected to the bedroom. Also, this was by far the most expensive hotel we stayed at during our travels--though we did happen to be there during the first night of an arts festival, so that might have had something to do with it.
But all in all, we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this hotel to travelers who want to experience downtown Omaha.

My family and I stayed at the Embassy Suites earlier this month. In fact, we stay there every May or June on our yearly trip to Omaha to visit the zoo. The hotel is in an excellent location right next to Omaha's Old Market, so you can go right across the street and eat at any one of a number of great restaurants.
This hotel is also in close proximity (maybe a 10 minute drive) to the Omaha Zoo.
The manager's reception is from 5:30 - 7:30 during the week. I'm not sure if they have it on the weekends because we always go during the week. Anyway, we've never had to wait in line for drinks, and they have a coke machine so the kids can also have something. There are also some good snack mixes.
Breakfast is always excellent with made-to-order omelets and/or pancakes. There is also a huge variety of hot and cold items. Something for everyone!
The hotel's atrium is really pretty w/ glass elevators and a nice view from every floor. My kids really love it here. Pool area is nice too.
We'll keep on returning, year after year!

Great Location, Friendly Staff. We stayed during the College World Series so there was lots going. It was a shame Mother Nature and Triple Crown Sports ruined our otherwise great stay.

You can't beat the location. You can enjoy a night on the town and walk to your room. Parking is an addtional $8. The air conditioner in the room was loud and did not cool the air - very humid. The beds and decor could use some updating. The breakfast was nice.
