We were dissatisfied with our 1 night at Comfort Inn Lubbock. With our 8 month old, we needed a real suite so that we could all sleep soundly and enjoy our time there. So we called around and the only place with availability of a suite was Embassy Suites, and the only room available was the Presidential Suite! Well, we were desperate, didn't really want to pay that much ($200/night), but too desperate to keep looking. As it turns out, I have no regrets whatsoever about spending the money to stay here and only regret we didn't spend both nights here! The room was lovely and very large. We ordered pizza from room service and it was excellent. We arrived to free drinks (happy hour). The fitness room was okay, I used the treadmill in the AM and was the only one in the room (there were 2 treadmills and 2-3 stair steppers and a bike). The cooked-to-order breakfast was great. Our room was immaculate. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the room and also the large 4-head shower. I highly recommend this place if you need a little vacation and can splurge.

Embassy Suites Lubbock is one of the nicer properties in town. The check in process was smooth and the rooms are all nicely updated and offer seperate living/sleeping spaces (ie no studio style rooms).
The living space of the room comes with a wet bar with a mini fridge and microwave. There is a pull-out couch, arm chair, and large desk in the living area. The internet works well.
The sleeping space has the vanity outside the bathroom and a very comfortable bed. There are 2 TVs in the suite. The bathroom was clean.
Housekeeping doesn't really put much effort into multi-day stays. They did not re-make the bed with the pillows or empty trash for whatever reason in the days following check in.
The evening reception is awesome if you're on a budget and want free food and booze. They have a free open bar nightly and some food to eat. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts you can eat with made-to-order omelets, french toast, and waffles. It also includes a fresh fruit bar and all the other usual hotel breakfast items.
Overall I had a pleasant stay and would stay here again.

Not the best ES I've ever been too! But still an Embassy!

Most E Suites are awesome, but this one was not. It was very beautifully decorated as most of the others. It was also older which gave it a quaintness. But it was smaller than most and the breakfast was not at all up to par. They ran out of plates and we had to use styrofoam. The eggs were runny and undercooked. The coffee was way to weak too. The service was so so.
The front desk was awesome. We checked in late and there were two very young men who showed a genuine interest in our welfare. They were very personable and very friendly.
It wasn't a horrible place, as no Embassy Suites are, but it was not the best one I've stayed at and in total I've probably stayed at at least a dozen in different parts of the US. The rooms were nice, very clean and roomy as always, but the hotel was just not as bright and airy as I had come to expect from Embassy. Still I would recommend it. It is after all an Embassy Suites.

Probably not one of the best Embassy Suites, but still has all the amenities and an excellent staff.
Noticed cigarette odors, needs new flooring (looked older); just a few minor updates and this could be one of Lubbock's finest hotels.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites during a business trip to the Lubbock area. I'm so glad I did. I don't get the chance to stay in many Embassy Suites when I travel, so I felt rather pampered for this trip.
The room was great: spacious, clean, cozy and with a flat panel TV. The bed was comfortable, and in the quiet environment, I slept like a log.
Breakfast, in true Embassy Suites fashion, was filled with bountiful selections.
The staff was friendly, and all of them always looked very professional, especially the young man manning the front desk when I checked in. Crisply dressed in suit and tie, he gave off a business-like air, but was very welcoming.
I loved the fitness center, which had individual TVs on the elliptical trainers. I could plug into the Cartoon Network while I worked out without irking everyone else in the room. Nice.
You can guess where I'm going to stay the next time I come into Lubbock.
