Very happy with Embassy Suites

I stayed at this hotel twice in two weeks, once on business and again about a week later with my family. I had been staying here occasionally for years on business (since before Embassy Suites was part of Hilton). This was my first time back in a few years. The neighborhood has improved substantially with the derelict boarded up buildings that fronted it for years being replaced by a new mini-shopping plaza and a discount warehouse club (I think it was a Costco). The hotel was undergoing renovations which made many areas very dusty, but there was no problem with noise at night and the room was fine.
The morning breakfast was pretty standard for Embassy Suites. The evening reception was a little better than many. Aside from the free drinks and usual chips and popcorn munchies they have a vegetable platter which is nice if you want to at least make an attempt to eat kind of healthy. When I was there midweek on business they also had a hot chicken dish out which was surprisingly delicious (a lot better than the relatively expensive takeout we got from across the street when I stayed there with my family). I'm not sure if the hot food was a regular weekday thing (no hot food on Sunday night) or if it just happened to be left over from some other function, but it was good.
Embassy Suites provided free access to the private gym in the little shopping center just across the parking lot, which was a nice change from the usual little exercise room. I also used the hotel's membership to visit the adjacent Costco. Kind of hard to buy in bulk when you're getting on a plane in a couple of days, but still it was nice to at least have the option.
Overall I was happy with the hotel.

Fantastic breakfast made to order. Also had a great free happy hour. Just chips and veggies, but any drink you like was provided. Bermuda Triangle was very popular. Room was above average. Carpet had a large spot and the bathroom counter appeared to be in need of repair.
Internet was available at $10 a day.
Overall a very nice place and plan to stay there in the future.

I hate to say it, but this hotel is just DIRTY.
From the elevator, to the lounge tables to the rooms, it needs a good cleaning and, while they're at it, new carpets, drapes and curtains.
The breakfast service comes with a snarl from the cook, the parrot in the atrium (who begins screaming at 5 a.m.) is not treated humanely and while signs in the lounge state that the hotel is undergoing renovations, no improvements are obvious.
Only Rachel at the front desk was a plus for this tired, worn property. Hilton, send an inspector to check this place out.
I will definitely stay elsewhere next time in Indy.

We checked into the Embassy Suites for a "night away". We had great service at the front desk-we were able to check in hours early and get a late check-out the next day. The interior was very nice but they are currently undergoing renovations. Our room had been renovated with new art, furniture, bed, etc. Overall, the hotel was very clean however the halls and glass elevators were dirty and worn-awaiting renovation! As always at Embassy Suites, the breakfast is great-a large part of why we like to stay there. Cooked to order omlets, pancakes, bacon, sausage, yougurt, the whole deal. The evening manager's reception is nice too-free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for two hours with no limits. They also provide light snacks. Overall we were very pleased and would not hesitate to stay there again, even with the renovations.

This hotel was our final stop on a whirlwind seven day trip to upstate New York and then back to Illinois. We chose this hotel so we could have one quiet night to just sit back and relax. This hotel turned out to be all we'd hoped for & more. Embassy Suites are beautfiul hotels anyhow, but this one in the north section of Indianapolis was fantastic. Our room was quiet, the front desk people were extremely courteous & helpful. We just had a perfect evening before heading back out for home.
