prices were different on every website. best price was on hotel website and even that changed a few times prior to my booking. great breakfast included and cocktails and snackies between 5-7 were great! no charge for gin and tonics and red wine! really. pool was wonderful, large and uncrowded. suite was perfect. main part of hotel was showing some age, but all in all we were quite happy and close to port everglades to jump on cruise ship.

“We Loved the beautiful remodeled Embassy Suites Ft. Lauderdale”
I was offered a GREAT travel agent rate at The Embassy Suites Hotel in Ft Lauderdale Fla.
We stayed there 1 night after coming from a Cruise on Carnival. We arrived early Monday morning (am), and were given a room immediately!
Cynthia and Delores at the front desk are EXCELLENT!!! They made sure we knew about everything the hotel has to offer. They also gave us great shopping, restaurant and directions on how to take the bus to the shopping mall. The hotel is close to several shops and restaurants.
This is a hotel is BEAUTIFUL. The pool area is incredible with plants and waterfall and plenty of seats, it reminds you of a tropical paradise.
The room are suites with 2 rooms, a mini bar with sink, flat panel TV and beautifully decorated. Beds were great and comfy.
The atrium is gorgeous and open to all rooms from floor to ceiling and looks like a tropical paradise.
They also served and exceptional breakfast buffet for free with pastries, eggs. omelets, grits, pancakes, fruit etc, etc. Really great. The Managers Reception was great. The Margaritas were excellent.
Everything is within walking distance. We walked to Five Guy’s for dinner. The burgers were GREAT!!! We also stopped by Publix for drinks and snacks.
We will definitely stay here again. It was a pleasure to spend the night here.
Take advantage of this great hotel when in Ft. Lauderdale. It's the best.

I was impressed by all of the great reviews so I went and booked a room for 1 night pre cruise.
We took a taxi to the hotel from the airport for $12.10 We arrived late and while the outside is beautiful once inside we found the place to be old in appearance The clerk was nice but not real knowledgeable. We had bought the pre cruise package and had to wait until morning to find out how it worked.
The breakfeast was OK with a decent selection. The lady in charge of concierge was sharp and got us our ride to the ship just as she stated she would at the time we requested. I was most impressed with her.
This hotel is very close to the port and airport so it is convenient but next time I will probaly go back to usual hotel I stay at that will pick you up at the airport and will take you to the port for free and is more modern cleaner and cheaper.

I was offered a travel agents appreciation rate to check out the Embassy Suites newly remodeled hotel in Ft Lauderdale Fla.
We stayed there 2 nights post cruise on 5-8 and 9th 2008.
This is a beautiful hotel. The pool area is incredible with plants and waterfall and plenty of seats.
The room are suites with 2 rooms, a mini bar with sink, flat panel tv and beautifully decorated. Beds were great and comfy.
The atrium is gorgeous and open to all rooms from floor to ceiling and looks like a beautiful park setting.
They also served and exceptional breakfast buffet for free with pastries, eggs. omlets, grits, pancakes, fruit etc, etc. Really great.
Everything is within walking distance. We walked to Outback for dinner, and a Publix for drinks and snacks. They have a restaurant , but was overpriced for us, and a bar and a small store inside.
Take advantage of this great hotel when in Lauderdale. It's the best.

What a great pre-cruise stay this was for my husband and me.
We arrived at the hotel early Saturday afternoon at around 1pm. Although check in wasn't until 3pm, we were given a room immediatey. The gal that checked us in was very friendly and was quick to make sure that we knew about the complimentary manager's reception with free cocktails, beer and wine that (and every) evening, as well as the free breakfast schedule for Sunday.
Our suite on the 9th floor was a king bed (this was nice as when we booked, there were only rooms with 2 double beds available) on the 9th floor that overlooked the cruise port. We had a small balcony that was only big enough to really stand on, but that was ok. Some of the others had tables and chairs though. When we woke up Sunday morning, we saw our cruise ship out our balcony door. Nice way to start the vacation!
This hotel is very close (walking distance) to many amenities such as restaurants, a grocery store and a wine/liquor superstore. This came in handy when we needed some last minute things for our cruise. For those that would like a mani/pedi, there is also a nail salon really close by. There's also a tanning salon nearby for those who want to get a pre-cruise "tan". :)
Bed was comfy. Water was hot. Hotel was quiet. Food was good. (It was free, how can it get better than that?)
Cab far from the airport to the hotel was around $11 for 2 people and very fast. I think it took about 10-12 minutes tops.
I would certainly recommend this hotel for a business or leisure traveler.
