It is not a quaint Italian Hotel - howver it is very spacious clean with friendly staff.
I stayed at this hotel and find then negative comments somewhat surprising. Although not in the best location and the walk to the train station is not the most picturesque the hotel itself is ok. Rooms are large and there is little noise from road outside. We were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost. As a base to get to Venice or westwards to Verona it is excellent. The town of Treviso is interesting with some great bars - head for the one just to the right hand side of the Benetton shop - cracking wine and cheese / meat rolls /platters. Closed Tuesdays - or it was when I was there. Wine off the barrel and more meat than you could shake a stick at. You will not find a better "snack" on all your travels in Italy.
Breakfast is great and they will look after you luggage for later flights.
Venice is an amazing city - but do go to Verona. Shakespeare lives but some really great shopping! A really lovely town.

Six of us have just stayed for 5 nights at the MAGGIOR CONSIGLIO Treviso and there is nothing about the hotel that we could fault. From the warm reception the staff gave us on arrival until moment we departed it was all superb and we would certainly stay there again. The staff were so friendly, the rooms clean and comforable and the food was excellent.
Getting into Treviso was simplicity itself, the bus stop was right outside the hotel and cost 1 euro.

This is a nice hotel but it can be pricey. We were on a break to see Venice and were using Treviso as our base. For this it is not ideal as hotels in towns would be better. To get from the hotel to the train station cost 10 euro by cab. The food in the hotel is expensive and not very good either but the rooms are big and comfortable. There are other options.

This hotel was booked for a business trip. Overall the hotel was good, nothing special apart from the food in the restaurant. Simon who works on reception was very helpful and polite.
I would not reccomend this hotel for a private getaway as there is usually a conference going on at the same time so privacy can be interrupted.
One problem I encountered during my stay that was not resolved, was that the room door could be opened with a firm shove not just with the key. (room 315)
The bar shuts at midnight / half past and there is no way to get a drink after that.

We have just returned after a weekend in Treviso staying in Boscolo Maggior Consiglio. Upon arrival at the airport in Treviso, we waited for a taxi in the taxi queue outside the airport. Taxis seemed to be rare enough, think we waited approx 25-30 mins for a taxi. When one came, he radioed for others so the wait didnt bother us. The taxi fair itself is a fixed rate of 15 euro to the hotel. Took about 10 mins to drive to the hotel from the airport.
I was extreamly impressed by the hotel, such great value for money. The Hotel itself is very nicely decorated, very clean and modern building. The staff were very helpful and most had a high level of English which was great as we had no italian! The room itself was small but fabulous and exceptionally clean. Although the hotel is beside a fairly busy road, the noise from this was minimal. American breakfast was included in the price, this was a buffet of bread, biscuits, pastries, muffins, yoghurt, fruit, cereal etc which was lovely. Aside from this, we only ate at the restaurant in the hotel once. We got beef (Make sure and ask for it to be well done if you arent a fan of raw meat!!). The bar in the hotel is very peaceful and wasnt busy when we were there, nice to relax in.
The train station is within walking distance of the hotel (takes approx 20 mins by foot). Trains to Venice are very regular with one goin every 20 mins throughout the day. The fair was only 8 euro return for the two of us which was great value.
Coming from Ireland, I found Treviso (and even Venice) alot less expensive than what I had heard from people who had been there. Everything was alot less expensive than Ireland.
Overall I found this hotel excellent, I would recommend it highly. It is a good option if you are on a budget, excellent value for money.
