We arrived at this hotel expecting a modern , clean,boutique type hotel and found it dingy ,scruffy and depressing . We had booked 3 nights and checked out after one . The beds , with their black covers and old brown blankets were dated , and the bathrooms badly tiled and the whole place at been refurbished on the cheap . Very small rooms - more student type budget hotel than 4 star .The roof pool was minute and crowded so didn't get a look in .We found a much nicer 3 star across the road called the Canberra-what a difference for a similar price !!! We lost some money on the advance booking but thought it was worth it .

Stayed in this hotel on a business trip. Everything was fine, even service was good (by French standards). Location was convenient, breakfast was good and in general everything was fine. The property has been recently renovated and in general modern design in rooms suits it. They need to work on soundproofing though. No carpets in rooms and poor soundproofing is a bad combo. Other than that, it was a good value

Stayed there in december as I was attending a show at the Palais des Festivals. Hotel is located on rue d'Antibes, paradise for shoppers and about 5 minutes walk from La Croisette (the beach) and about 15 minutes walk to the Palais des Festivals.
When I arrived in early afternoon, reception clerks were busy talking to each other and needed a couple of minutes to see that I was checking in.
Was not walked to my room nor attended with my luggage which seemed a bit stranged for a 4 star hotel.
The room had been recently renovated and sufficiently large but lighting was very unsufficient.
The beds are not very comfortable with pretty thin matress.
The bathroom is ok but have seen better for this price range.
The breakfast was ok in quality although there were not sufficient staff to clear the table and serve the guests for their morning coffees. It looked pretty messy.
The bar is empty and has no ambiance so decided to have a drink elsewhere.
When I checked out, the front desk staff made me feel like I was one more guest and had no magic words loke "thank you", "have a safe trip", "hope to see you back", "how was your stay" which costs nothing but feel so good. I hope they will read this and use it to train their staff.
Overall average hotel and will probably try another hotel next December when I go back.

I stayed here for a week in September 07.
Positives
- Clean, reasonably equipped rooms in a pricey town
- Reasonably priced
Negatives
- Fairly spartan
If you're looking for a reasonably priced stay in Cannes, then this is a good option. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and pleasant.
That is, you will have no shocks. On the negative side, you should be warned that it does not have enough to merit a special occasion; though given the location I would definitely come again.
