I travel to Buenos Aires on a regular basis and I usually stay at CE next door to Design Suits where the service is always warm and welcoming. What a mistake to try out Design Suites. The reception staff are impersonal and downright rude. I decided to skip the meager breakfast after the first day because it is just unbearable to eat amongst the unfriendly staff. The food on the room service menu is of a very poor standard and very pricey. The rooms are tiny and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything the neighbors are saying word for word. You can hear the toilet flush from the top floors and the shower running. I was woken up by people next door to me checking out at 5 AM. It sounded as if they were inside my room. When I asked for a late check out, it could not be done, period. In comparison to CE right next door where the staff go out of their way to make your stay great this place is a dump. I will never stay in this hotel again.

Well-located and has large rooms but has a overly modern decor and feel. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the bathroom and the room next door. The staff was pretty impersonal -- the front desk is run by awkward guys who were not very warm or receptive but they did give the hotel a modern feel. Breakfast is pretty good. You could do worse in BA but you could also do better for the price.

not sure, what is supposed to be trendy - definetly not the location nor the interior. We booked 2 nights there, but after the first terrible night we left immediately. rooms are just dirty and ugly. also the air conditioning is not working properly- thus very very loud at nightp- we woke up 3 times! not for a penny I would stay there again. try the esplendador de buenos aires - very cool and good quality!

We stayed in Design Suites Hotel at the beginning and end of our holiday and we could not have asked for anything better in terms of room quality and the staff service. I should add that due to flight issues the airline put us up in 2 other hotels in Buenos Aires during our 4 week trip and it made us realise how good design suites was. You will find it difficult to get anywhere in the city that is quiet. but we had the back rooms at the hotel and never once gtot disturbed by any outside noise. The outstanding service of the staff made it an absolute pleasure to stay in the hotel - nothing was to much trouble and given the numerous flight issues we had we needed a lot of help I would definitely recommend this hotel and am really surprised at the other negative reviews.
