My mom and I stayed Hotel Palma for 4 nights. Location was good. 5 mins walk to Algentine metro station (unfortunately, it's been closed when we stayed), 10mins walk to Charles de Gaulle Etoi and Arc de Triomphe. 5min from Porte Maillot Air France Bus stop, but it's bit hard to find for the first time, so it's better to take a taxi. You can walk up there on the way back because you can walk toward Hilton Hotel (huge tower!) as a landmark.
Receptionists were all different everyday, but they're all nice and friendly and helpful.
Very quiet at night. The room was nicely decorated, but it was too hot! We're sweating all the time. Bathroom was clean. Cleaning person had not provided us new cups (disposable) and toilet rolls until we asked.
Lift was very tiny, so barely two of us (we are not big!!) could fit in.
Breakfast was not included, so we paid 10 euro for each person for just one day. There're croissant, pain au chocolat, toast, yogurt, orange juice, and hot chocolate. I think it's bit expensive for this quantity, yet croissant was delicious. There's a bakery in walking distance (3mins) and it's also delicious! There're chemist, restaurants, cheese shop and a small convenient store near the hotel. So it's very convenient.

I read the reviews above and after I came back I must say they are correct. Me and my wife we take our parents and everyone was pleased with the hotel, we definitely return.
Location: 100 metres from Porte Maillot (bus, metro station). There you can also use the Airfrance cars that came and go from both airports to Porte Maillot (you can find them outside the airport and in front of the Hotel Meridien in Porte Maillot).
The metro line 1, goes directly to the centre of the city in 10 minutes, can you say it's far from de city centre ? Of course not !
All around the hotel you just can find houses, therefore, the neighbourhood was very friendly and calm, and you don't have suspicious streets nearby. Because of the Congress Palace in Porte Maillot, you have there a shopping centre, with restaurants and cinema, but you can also find lots of nice restaurants in the street without lots of tourists.
Hotel: Most of the hotels in Paris, like this one, are located in XIX century buildings, so rooms are small, and sometimes elevators very tiny. But I found it very comfortable and I had no problems with space. The "provence style" decoration is very pleasant and makes it looks as a countryside hotel. The continental breakfast is enough. Staffs were friendly and helpful.
The hotel, sheets and everything was clean and in order.
Price: What you get is what you pay; he is really a 3 star hotel.

Choice of 230 Euro convention hotel or 60 Euro weekend 95 Euro weekday rate at Palma. No choice Palma great for the price. Small single room but very clean with new bath. Wonderful Paris sidewalk cafes within easy walking distance. No tourists in the area. Close to Metro and busses.
Would stay there again when I return to Paris.

It was a pleasant surprise. We visited this hotel in 2000. We booked it because of the location and price, very cheap. We were really scared when we got there but It was like stepping into someones house. Tiny elevator and tiny everything, but really clean and friendly people. Our room had a balcony with lovely flowers hanging from it which gave it a very special touch. If you are travelling on a budget but are picky about your hotels, this is a good option. The neighbourhood was also quite pleasant to walk around... Nice cafes to have breakfast if you want to skip the croissant at the hotel...
