The location is great, very much in the heart of the 7th. Getting a view of the Eiffel Tower would be extremely difficult, as there may be three rooms with that possibility, all facing a busy and noisy street. Our room (for two) was probably the tiniest I have ever had in many years of staying in European hotels, with definitely the smallest bathroom (4'x6' including shower and toilet). The rooms are clean, the maid service diligent (knocking starting at 8:30-9 to get you out so they can come in), but it is a little grubby overall--furnishings, linens on the threadbare side. There is free WIFI, helpful. Staff is pleasant.

We stayed at the hotel de la Paix in January 2008. The hotel is located in a quiet street. Staff is rather friendly. Our room was clean and nicely decorated but extremely small. The bathroom was small and very basic and the shower had had its best days. The first day there was no shower gel or shampoo.
Breakfast was limited to a minimum: one piece of bread and one croissant pp, although we got more when we asked.
The hotel is far away from everything: it's a 20 min walk to the Eiffel tower, and 10 min walk to a metro station.

Keine Minibar.
