I recently stayed at the Homestead Studio Suites, located at 2541 Corporate Avenue E, Memphis TN 38132 While there, my vehicle was broken into, and items were stolen. The hotel has no cameras in the parking lot, no LIGHTING, and it is PROTECTED by a 3 FOOT HIGH fence that borders a dark road. After filing the police report, I was told by the officer that vehicle break-ins are so common in that area that the police aren't even allowed to dust for FINGERPRINTS anymore. The Hotel has only a few little tiny signs in the parking lot, which are covered completely by trees that state they're not responsible for items left in vehicles. What if my wife and child were near the vehicle while this happened??? I was never notified by any of the hotel officials that this was an issue there, and the hotel insurance said they aren't going to pay for anything. In addition to that, our room was NEVER cleaned the entire 4 night stay! We complained, and they said they would have it cleaned the next day. It never happened. That was truly the WORST experience at ANY hotel, and I travel a LOT!

Resevations were made at this hotel at least a month prior to arrival. My family was having a family get together over the fourth and reserved 5 rooms. Nothing was right. Long story short eveything was wrong from the reservations to the AWFUL smell of the rooms! We checked in at 3am and was out by there 11am check out. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rest of our trip was spent up the street at the Holiday Inn Select.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. This location is NOT a place I would recommend, stay elsewhere! A co-worker mentioned that I shouldn't stay in this area but I was getting in late on Friday and just thought it would be fine. I cancelled my second night and booked another hotel because of the area. There are NOT any restaurants or other places open at night. There were two guests who were asking about restaurants nearby and the only thing the staff could recommend was a fast food place. When I left in the morning, I saw that there really weren't ANY places by there.
