This hotel was a big disappointment.
I was traveling for business in the area and needed a hotel for an extended stay. I could barely make it through the first night! And would never stay there again.
It appears the hotel appeals to construction workers and truckers. When I drove into the main entrance, sitting out front was this huge sewage pumping truck and many more large construction pickups! If the hotel was smart they would not allow such a aweful eye sore. Further, it sits next to the heavy rail road tracks - a nice wake-up call at 3:00am, as the room shakes!!!
The buildings and surrounding property looks very nice and well maintained from the outside. The buildings I was told where 10 years old and where recently updated inside. However the inside updating was poorly done and already shows signs of wear and dirt.
My room was not very clean and smelled even worse - a complination of harsh mildew and smoke! The carpet was stained and in areas not vacuumed - under the bed was trash! The bathroom and kitchen floors looked dirty and had tar chunks. There where spots and finger prints on the mirrors, tv screen and walls. I could go on and on.
Overall, this Extended Stay Hotel company should be ashamed, and at $80.00 per night it wasn't cheap!

I was transiting through South Florida enroute to a Caribbean cruise and needed a one night stay (as I always leave a 24 hour buffer between my flight and cruise). I am most familliar with the Boca/Delray area and enjoy the shooping and dining in that area. I am also familiar with just about every hotel in terms of location, facilities, amenities and price (what it ought to be not what they are charging). I have been staying in that area fo rthe last 15 years on stays ranging from 2 weeks to one night and I have seen prices rise dramatically over the last 3 years.
I was elated to see this property available for $63 as I was not prepared to shell out $200 for similar accomodations.
The reviews that I had read prior to travelling allowed me to expect the worst but be prarred to be impressed in th event the hotel had gotten it's act together.
The front desk employee was inept to say the least and trying to check in was quite a challenge. the rooms were decent but not particulary comfortable, up to date or clean.
The stay was not one of my more memorable ones but the price was right. I would hate to have actually had to stay there as an extended stay guest, even though it is an extended stay hotel.
By the way, there is no daily maid service so one day was long enough of a stay.

We stayed at this hotel two nights before we got onto a cruise in Miami. We had driven down from Boston and the only room we could get was at this hotel. On the first night I wanted a glass to brush my teeth so I went to the front desk. I was told they didn't provide these kind of amenities.
On our second night we arrived back to the room and found that the beds weren't made and there were no clean towels. Besides that there were bugs in the room crawling on the walls and in the beds!
The staff was unhelpful and when I went to talk to the manager he wasn't in. We checked out but I asked to have the General Manager call me. I'm still waiting for that call.
WORD OF CAUTION.... STAY SOMEPLACE ELSE!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Homestead Boca Raton. The room was immaculately clean, and the air conditioning kept us nice and cool. The staff were extremely attentive to our needs, and offered advice on finding places in the area. I would definately recommend this hotel as a base for doing day trips in southern Florida. It is beside Interstate 95, and close access to the Florida Turnpike. You can get to anywhere from this hotel. We even took a trip to Key West from here. Beautiful palm trees on the property, nice landscaping, beautiful pond out back, peaceful and serene surroundings. Did not hear any outside noise from our room, as someone else was commenting on hearing trains...We did not. We would definately stay here again, and again. Tip of the hat to all the staff at the Homestead, our new "home" in Florida!

Coming from the London's grim weather and grumpy ppl, me and my friend came to Miami on a holiday in June and we absolutely loved it - not only was it cheap but some of the staff were friendly apart form Marty who made a cheeky remark if we were the girls who kept on asking for the iron! dont no wat that was alll about but if you take him away from it... the homestead is a real nice place - clean, big and lovely cute lake over looking the rooms.
We really liked it and if we do come to Miami ever again then we would stay here for sure! its also really cheap!
